From the consultation phone call, we could tell how amazing our experience with Valerie and Michael would be. They helped research personalized locations for our elopement, then dive into it even further depending on the specific activities that we were looking to do along side it. No matter the time of day or the question we had, they were always there to help answer it.
Just from glancing at their portfolio, you can tell they take pride in capturing amazing pictures and let me tell you, when it is you and your significant other in the pictures, they look even better! I was pretty sure that wasn't possible. Valerie and Michael not only care about helping capture your special moment, but they care about you and your person and want you to feel so special and enjoy your wedding day to greatest extent possible and will do anything and everything to help do so.
On the day of the elopement, there are moving parts and while it was not a huge wedding, it was still busy. My favorite thing that Valerie and Michael did was when they centered us. They helped slow down the moment, asked us questions to really enjoy that present moment and captured it in beautiful pictures. It was such an awing moment to stand there staring into my husband's eyes and just focus on the extremely special moment we had. That in itself is not something your average photographer does. It was so special and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

I’m not sure how I got so lucky! I found Wander Kings (Lynn & Michael) on Instagram and was immediately drawn to the photography style, magical, detailed and dreamy. The months leading up to my wedding were really hard with covid-19 changing our entire plans, Wander Kings was so attentive, compassionate and flexible with all our changing information. They really know what they’re doing. Fast forward to wedding day and they amazed me with how quickly they got myself, my husband and my family together to get all the shots that I had requested. I got sneak peeks from the wedding photos THE NEXT DAY, which made me cry tears of joy because everyone knows how fast your wedding day goes by and it was just so beautiful and special to see the photos and get them so quickly. Our full gallery was sent to us a few weeks before we were supposed to get them and I can’t put into words how beautiful and special they are to me. I knew I was going to get back beautiful pictures but honestly Wander Kings exceeded my expectations. There were some small details in the photos that they captured intentionally that absolutely warmed my heart. Thank you Lynn & Michael you two are absolutely amazing.

f you’re looking for elopement/adventure photographers- Lynn and Micheal are the absolute best at what they do. I couldn’t be happier with our elopement photos. All 200+ pictures are frame worthy but what really set them apart from everyone else was how comfortable we felt with them from the first phone call and the fact that they truly cared that our wedding day was perfect.
They listened to our very vague description of “we want to get married by a water fall”, then got to know us as a couple, found out what was important to us and the result was a beautiful elopement that felt like a fairy tale we were sharing with two friends who happened to be taking photos of us.
They found the perfect location for us (we were coming from out of town), recommended a hair/makeup artist that was out of this world, and helped us stay on track with every aspect of planning the event. They really made it effortless for us and made the planning process enjoyable. Everything was so personalized that it felt like we were their only clients and they were just as excited as we were for our elopement day. We can’t say enough about these two awesome people. You can’t go wrong with them!!

From our frosty morning engagement shoot at Smith Rock to the dance floor of our reception Lynn and Michael perfectly captured our entire wedding. They did a great job with the "staged" photos but their talent really shown in the candid photos of us and all of our wedding guests. It is such a gift to have a record of those little moments, like friends tearing up during our ceremony, that we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

We were on a pretty tight budget for the wedding we wanted to have and DIY'd so much of our wedding, but the investment in our wedding photos was worth every penny.

Lynn and Michael are incredible. Not only are they talented photographers, but they are organized, friendly, warm and an absolute joy to work with. They arrived early to scout the area, helped me stage a surprise "first look" and were honestly like wedding ninjas -always where they needed to be but generally invisible. And Lynn, she's a calm force to be near during a hectic day -she helped ground us during our portraits and made the shoots more fun then we imagined it could be. For us, there was no better investment!

Lynn and Michael were fantastic shooting our wedding! They were extremely organized, professional, fun and to top it all off, our pictures were breathtaking! We had an an engagement shoot as part of our package and being from out of town, we weren't able to do it so they even came and took some candids at our rehearsal- so thoughtful! I would recommend them to anyone getting married in Oregon or anywhere!

I've been struggling to write this review, as I have had a very hard time putting into words how my husband I feel about Wander Kings. Every time I re-open my wedding photos I laugh, I cry, I feel like I am reliving our special day. Every person I show our wedding photos to sheds a tear, they can feel the nerves, the love, the friendship, and even how we felt seeing each other for the first time as we walked down the aisle.

Michael & Lynn were an absolute joy to work with, from sharing laughs, stories and champagne pre-wedding, to saving the day with a tide to go stick, to even pushing us outside of our comfort zones and capturing the MOST STUNNING couple photos ever (perhaps I'm biased, but damn).

You want your photographers to capture all the small, intimate moments, to help loosen people up and guide them into beautiful photos, but to also blend in to capture those beautiful candids and Wander Kings excelled in all of these areas. Michael and Lynn's passion for photography is portrayed in every single photo, and the love they share for their work is so obvious. I highly recommend these two as they will only exceed your expectations, we cannot wait to use them again for all of our big family moments in the future.

My experience was like one I have never experienced with a photographer. This team makes the session so much fun! The whole time it wasn’t a scary modeling session or anything it was like a day off that wound up with some great photos for a lifetime! We talk about our someday special day & we definitely will be requesting this adorable couple at the wedding! Thanks again for the free shoot, it was all and more than I could have imagined!
