Sanborn Park’s 3,500 acres of Redwood Forests, meandering streams and chaparrals serve as the backdrop to the 35-acre campus of the Walden West Science Center. This enchanting, woodsy environment provides the perfect setting for your Saratoga wedding. Have your guests witness you exchange vows amongst the redwoods at Walden West’s rustic ceremony site. After the ceremony guests can enjoy a cocktail in one of several choice locations. The culmination of your wedding celebration is a reception in the center’s cozy reception hall. Two large display screens feature a photo slideshow detailing your history as a couple. The reception hall also features large windows, exposed ducts and an indoor amphitheater. You and your guests will enjoy a delightful menu, prepared by either of their two preferred vendors that will tailor your menu to your specifications. Our on-site venue coordinator will work closely with you to ensure that every detail of your special day is in order from start to finish.
The rental fee is $5,000 for a ceremony and reception. The rental includes the venue from Friday evening and Saturday 10 am - 10 pm. The site fee includes the following: venue coordinator/site manager, outdoor sound system, ceremony and reception chairs, tables, and access to multiple cocktail and dancing areas. Catering is provided by one of their preferred caterers, averaging $50 per person, some options including rentals and event coordinators. A deposit of $2,500 is required at the time of signing a contract and is applied to your balance. There will also be a refundable security deposit of $1,500 due 1 month prior to the wedding. Saturday overnight stay starts at $6,500 for up to 50 guests and $40 for each additional guest. Bunk bed accommodations (14 cabins) are available. Guests must bring their own linens and hot brunch buffet is provided the following morning. No weekday or Sunday weddings are available.
