The Wades were the first permanent settlers of Greenbush in 1844 when Wisconsin was still frontier territory and the forests were as dense as you can imagine. They were hoping to develop a village, choosing a specific location halfway between Sheboygan and Fond du Lac along a well-used stagecoach trail. When Wisconsin became a state in 1848, Greenbush was a booming village and the Wades’ “Half Way House” was a regular stop for stagecoach lines. Today, your guests can visit a nationally-landmarked stagecoach inn on the grounds of the Wade House, as well as the carriage museum, a replica of an 1860s water-powered sawmill, and experience horse-drawn wagon rides.

Our wedding was originally scheduled for October of 2020 but, because of COVID, was cancelled. Wade House was so great and flexible through the entire process - not only as we were deciding how to navigate COVID, but also after we decided to cancel when they were willing to refund our non-refundable deposit. We really appreciate their flexibility during this uncertain time and highly recommend them!Sent on 03/02/2021
Wade House's reply:Thank you so much Lindsay! You have no idea how great this makes us feel during these difficult times. I hope you are doing well!
