My hair was gorgeous for my wedding and I have Vivid to thank. I went to Vivid because I won a gift certificate from one of the bridal shows that I went to. I was so lucky to have won that prize because my hair was perfect. I went in for a trial a two months before my wedding with an idea and some pictures. My stylists name was Ashley and she did a phenomenal job. She listened to what I wanted and suggestions that I made and made it exactly right. When I went to her on the day of my wedding I was relaxed knowing that she would take care of me. The salon also took care of my mom and my wedding party consisting of my two sisters, cousin and best friend. They each looked beautiful with their up do's. My mom's hair was spectacular! I've never seen her hair look so wonderful and my girls were heart stoppers! We walked in there with all different types of hair from the thickest of thick to the finest of fine and the curliest to the straightest and they accommodated to all. Everyone was so kind and friendly at the salon and very punctual. I was out of the salon with six girls on time and looking perfect! Our hair including mine lasted the entire night and that includes summer heat and a beach wedding reception. I am so grateful to Vivid and I would highly recommend this salon to everyone. I am also continuing to go there to get my hair cut :D I love them so much.

i came here to get a glaze done. i’ve had glazes done before, and i’ve always loved them, because they bring back the red that has faded out of my hair as i’ve gotten older. they accentuate my hair color rather than mask it entirely.

while i was here, the stylist i had insisted i go darker, despite my objections and eventually, i relented, because this was my first time here, and she seemed to understand what i wanted and i thought perhaps my previous stylist (who no longer lives in the area) had explained it to me differently. this is why i’m rating or star. i objected from the beginning. (the color looked fine overall, but it’s not at all what i asked for or wanted. originally, i wasn’t going to leave a review because that’s partly my fault for not leaving and staying though i felt as though i was coerced into it.)

i came out feeling meh about the color, but who cares? glazes fade. that’s the point of getting a glaze versus a hair color.

i ended up, even three months later, *three* levels darker than i went in. i’m a totally different hair color than what i wanted, and i know now that she was just concerned with coloring my hair a different color than accentuating what i already had — which is what i absolutely did not want.

so, i went to a different salon today, because i have engagement photos next weekend, because i had to get the roots covered up — something i have NEVER experienced before with a glaze. typically they fade out nicely and you cannot even tell where the glaze begins and the roots begin.

due to it being more than three months since my “glaze,” my current stylist believes that i was actually given a permanent hair color, because there is a *stark* difference between my root and my “glazed” hair. it has faded ever so slightly, but not the level, just the red.

so i hope your stylist who called my blonde hair brown is happy now, because what she did caused it to be brown for now — just in time for my engagement photos. 🙄🙄 so thanks for that.
