The staff at Vanilla Bean worked quickly with us, as we ended up having to do a rush order. They were quick to respond and helped guide us in our decision on cakes and cupcakes with no issues. For cake, we had one layer vanilla cake with raspberry filling and one layer red velvet cake and cookie dough filling, all with buttercream icing. The cupcakes mirrored the cake. Our 1 year anniversary cupcake even held up and was just as delicious, which we weren't expecting!

The Vanilla Bean Bakery created really beautiful cake truffles for our favors. After a very brief and kind of vague description from me, Kristy worked her magic to make little pink cherry blossoms on on a blue background. They fit the theme of the wedding and were just so perfect, we felt that they NEEDED to be a part of our place settings once we saw them! We chose chocolate and vanilla raspberry for the flavors to mimic our cake flavors. So yummy!

We also ordered some cake pops for our welcome bags. They were so cute and decorated to look like a bride and a groom and added a fun (and delicious) touch to our gifts to our out-of-town family members!

At our wedding, we chose not to do a traditional wedding cake, but instead opted for cake pops and cake truffles. Kristy and the Vanilla Bean Bakery team did a great job helping us choose flavors and designs for the cake pops/truffles. They were responsive by email and the taste of them was unmatched by anything else. I would highly recommend their services!

One issue we did have was we paid to have the cake truffles set up on our dessert table but when I arrived on site, everything was still in their boxes. We chalked it up to a miscommunication because the type of platters we used changed so they were confused on what to do. I would have appreciated a phone call for clarification but did not receive one. This ended up not being a huge deal as our venue coordinator fixed everything up (Megan at Mustard Seed Gardens)

Regardless of the small mishap, the quality of the desserts were great and we received many compliments! I would use them again for future events!

Everyone raved about how good the cupcakes were, including my husband, who does not normally like to eat baked goods. The baker was extremely friendly and personable, and she did a fantastic job with both our wedding cake and cupcake. The only drawback was the baker did not respond in a timely manner to e-mails so we had to take a lot of initiative. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would definitely use her bakery again.
