With family in Pennsylvania and Kentucky, we decided on a destination wedding and thought Tybee Island would be a wonderful location. Tybee Lite Shrine Club was an excellent choice. You have a wonderful view of the ocean. We chose to have our ceremony on their outdoor deck, and I couldn't have been happier with that decision. We had met with David Cornelius and viewed the venue a couple of times, and he was always very accommodating. Billy Mullins was there the day of our wedding and he was just as pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend Tybee Lite Shrine Club to anyone looking for a beach venue.

What can I say about the staff and more personally Mr. Billy Mullins that could EVER be bad! He was so helpful in helping me obtain the Shrine Club as well as arranged for bar tending services and was always available by phone to answer any of my questions about possible scenerio's that I may have overlooked. I would reccommend this venue and view to ANY bride having a destination wedding, it's AMAZING!!!

We had a wonderful reception at the Shrine Club on Tybee Island. The place is beautiful and it's right on the beach. The people are fun to work with and were even on the dance floor with us by the end of the evening! I'd definitely recommend this location for any brides and grooms looking for a venue on the beach on Tybee Island.

We got married down the street at St. Michael's Catholic Church and wanted to have the reception somewhere on the island but with a view of the ocean. My dream reception venue was the lighthouse but they no longer host wedding receptions so this was the next best thing! You won't find a better deal for the money on the island and the windows lining the wall make for a spectacular view of the ocean- just what we wanted. We got very lucky and had a bright day full of sunshine so the room was lit up with natural light for the day time hours of our reception- and it was wonderful having the huge patio for sunset photos and for guests to hang out. I was worried that the low ceilings would make the reception feel cramped but it was just fine for a group of about 125 people and everyone loved the lights on the ceiling. We even had a live band inside & the acoustics were great. The staff are a little oldschool at the Shrine Club (landline phones, mailing in checks, handwritten contracts, etc.) but if you can be patient with that and trust the process you will get a great venue for a superb value on Tybee Island.

This is a beautiful location with great amenities. However, the staff and operators are very rude and inflexiable. During our reception, they were constantly updating my husband on the bar tab and they harrassed my parents after the reception about cleaning up, even though we hired someone specifically to clean up and he was hard at work.
