About

Located in the bourgeoning China Basin neighborhood of San Francisco's SOMA district, Twenty Five Lusk is a modern restaurant and lounge featuring seasonally driven New American cuisine, a dynamic wine program, and expertly crafted cocktails. The design weaves a modern aesthetic through a historic brick and timber warehouse originally built in 1917 as a meatpacking and smokehouse facility. We recently added a Rooftop to our venue creating one of the most dynamic venues in the city.

We had our wedding reception at Twenty Five Lusk, and it was an absolute dream. The space is gorgeous and perfectly captures the urban/rustic mix we love so much about San Francisco itself. We reserved the bottom floor, with a mix of banquet seating and lounge seating, which encouraged our guests to mix and mingle and made our wedding a fantastic party. The secret tunnel of rooms behind the bar became our favorite feature of the night, too: my (now) husband and I were able to hide back there during the dinner portion and enjoy our dinners in peace while peeking through the small window at our guests enjoying themselves in the main area, and later in the night groups of friends circulated back there, enjoying the secrecy of it all.

And while we chose Twenty Five Lusk because of the gorgeous space (and as noted above, it well exceeded our greatest hopes), the food and drinks were AMAZING ended up stealing the show. Our guests STILL rave about how good the food and drinks were!

And the service at Twenty Five Lusk was absolutely fantastic. Planning a wedding is stressful, especially where you're doing all of the planning yourself (as we were), and Twenty Five Lusk went way above and beyond, even arranging for us the rental of cocktail-height tables and linens to match with our aesthetic. And all of this--gorgeous space, divine food, fantastic service--at a fraction of what we would have paid for ANY other reception option in San Francisco (we know, because we did extensive research).

Like our decision to get married, choosing Twenty Five Lusk for our reception is one of the best decisions we've ever made. We can't recommend them enough!

I organize 8-10 corporate events/year at 25 Lusk. The staff, execution, and professionalism are top notch. Countless folks who attend have such a great experience they ask about hosting their own event here.

Planning a wedding is a series of small choices that amount to a grand event. Choosing a venue, however, is a big decision that will lay the foundation for your special day. I’m eternally grateful that we chose Twenty Five Lusk for our reception – the venue itself, along with the staff, set the perfect tone for all of the memories & feelings I’d later associate with the journey. We dreamt of a wedding that oozed SF style at a unique venue. We wanted intimate, yet grand; personal & comfortable; stylish & elegant. Lusk gave us all that & more!
There are unique spaces upstairs and down, all while maintaining a beautiful openness. The stunning decor incorporates elements like brick & steel & wood in a modern and classy way.
Cocktail hour was perfect, the appetizers were a homerun (get the tempura shrimp), and the bar service was flawless.
Dinner was next. By “dinner” I mean the best wedding food EVER. Our guests raved about Chef Matt Dolan’s creations. Plus, the kitchen handled any food allergies and preferences with care & ease (BIG plus). Lusk’s pastry chef delivered a flawless croquembouche, a classic French dessert of layered profiteroles – just another example of stellar service.
Dancing & schmoozing continued after dinner and our 100 guests never felt cramped or squished. Lusk created an intimate feel with space to dance, sit & relax. The small rooms behind the bar were a great escape for older guests.
As a bride, enjoying your reception can be difficult, simply because it’s a whirlwind of people & pics & pleasantries. You’re pulled in a million directions, but Lusk’s endless attention and care allowed me to enjoy every second of my evening.
NO regrets – Lusk set the perfect scene for our exceptional party. They delivered great food, drink, & service - the bartenders were kind & accommodating; the servers were gracious & helpful. Special thanks to Christine, whose exceptional work ethic helped make memories that I’ll cherish forever

Perfect SF venue for our 115 guests

I recently had my wedding here. All of our guests traveled from Orange County

Vibe: 25 Lusk has a sleek, sophisticated, loungy thing going and it really hits the mark. We bought out the entire venue. Cocktail reception at the lower lounge and dinner upstairs. All of our guests made their way upstairs for dinner and then the celebration continued downstairs for cake, dancing, and more drinks. We hired a DJ and it fit perfectly in the lower lounge. We also hired a saxophonist (Justin Ward) and our guests were surprised and delighted with him! We got compliments all night. My husband and I are Asian, so this was really different from the standard Chinese banquet style wedding -- but in a GOOD way. Our friends loved that it was uniquely us and had a City vibe.

Food: We had a 3 course plated dinner. We upgraded to ribeye steak, in addition to king salmon and a silent veggie course. From what I heard from our guests, they really loved it! For cocktail hour we had both passed appetizers (I suggest the king prawn tempura with avocado mousse) in addition to oysters at a stationed table. The cocktail hour vibe along with our saxophonist was great. We also worked with them to do signature cocktails. We named them after our 2 beagles. "The Scout" was a salted watermelon margarita. Our guests LOVED this drink and how refreshing it was. They couldn't stop talking about it.

Service: We worked with Grayson for menu and he was our point of contact. Overall communication was good. It got better as our wedding date was closer and closer. Everything was pretty seamless on the day of our wedding, with the exception of a welcome sign that was dropped off and was supposed to be put up before guests arrived. When my husband and I arrived, it wasn't up and I had to figure out why. I was slightly disappointed because all of the guests had already entered the venue, and we had paid for a beautiful signage that got over looked. I will add, however, that I had a wedding planner who was responsible for that so wasn't on 25 Lusk at all.

Value: We booked for the entire evening from 6pm-12midnight. The majority of our guests left around 11ish but music played until the end of the night. I liked that this was indoors, as many outdoor venues have a noise ordinance which restricts you from playing amplified music after 10pm. Our guests wanted to party!

Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot for a wedding venue. While it's not your typical wedding spot, we really liked that about it. It felt more just like a fun dinner party with great music, super sexy sleek vibe, and great food. Perfect for what we were going for.
