Restaurant Wedding Venues in San Francisco

This is the best place to have a reception! I am told they also provide for ceremonies. The food here was the best and for the right price. I couldn't believe how good of a deal I got. Well worth my money. I love this place!

The food was so good from the appetizers to the entre

We had our wedding reception at Green's following the ceremony outdoors at Fort Mason, and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. The setting was fantastic. We were lucky to have clear skies, so the restaurant glowed as the sun set behind the Golden Gate during our event. The staff is excellent. We always get excellent service at Greens, so no surprises there. The food was delicious. We're vegan so the vegetarian menu is perfect for us, but many guests said they really enjoyed the food and were impressed to have the event at a destination restaurant. For a private event you have to select items from the full menu so choosing well is up to you, but we liked our options. Choosing well on wine is also up to you, but again the Greens list provided lots of good options. With a little advice from a friend, we chose some affordable wines that our guests were very happy with. Some got very happy, so it seemed our choices worked out well. One thing to know about drinks: Greens doesn't have a full bar. They offered a couple specialty cocktails, but *no* spirits that aren't in those two cocktails. That won't do for my family and friends, but were able to strike a compromise with Greens to offer a few other spirits and easy mixed drinks with a some extra $$. We used the private dining room -- the second room -- for dancing after the meal. That worked very well for us. The Private Events Manager, Danielle Garland, was very easy to work with and responsive throughout the process. She's on top of every detail, so once you factor in how many details she has to stay on top of, you can appreciate why she works at high speed! She also deserves credit for striking the right balance between being flexible and knowing when details need to be firm and clear. Big thumbs up for Greens as a reception venue!

Minah and the other folks at Stable Cafe made planning our wedding there so wonderful! The space is happy, green, and unique (during our May 2016 wedding, there were plums on the plum trees!), and the location is convenient for locals and visitors. We loved having our ceremony and dinner on the patio, surrounded by the many plants that Lila B. keeps on site. Plus, the bistro lights that were strung up above the dinner tables were so fun. We used the covered back area for cocktail hour while the patio was being transitioned from ceremony to dinner (quite a feat, considering there were 75 guests and farm tables to be set up!), and then again for dessert (cake, s'mores, etc.). The indoor space in the back was where we did dancing - it was perfect. The fun details throughout are what make the place really special - the fireplace, the plants hanging, the back room with cool paintings on the wall, etc.. The team at Stable Cafe is exceptionally accommodating. One of the best parts of getting married at Stable Cafe is being able to go back there for a coffee or a meal whenever we want to bask in the memories of our wedding.

We had our wedding reception at Twenty Five Lusk, and it was an absolute dream. The space is gorgeous and perfectly captures the urban/rustic mix we love so much about San Francisco itself. We reserved the bottom floor, with a mix of banquet seating and lounge seating, which encouraged our guests to mix and mingle and made our wedding a fantastic party. The secret tunnel of rooms behind the bar became our favorite feature of the night, too: my (now) husband and I were able to hide back there during the dinner portion and enjoy our dinners in peace while peeking through the small window at our guests enjoying themselves in the main area, and later in the night groups of friends circulated back there, enjoying the secrecy of it all. And while we chose Twenty Five Lusk because of the gorgeous space (and as noted above, it well exceeded our greatest hopes), the food and drinks were AMAZING ended up stealing the show. Our guests STILL rave about how good the food and drinks were! And the service at Twenty Five Lusk was absolutely fantastic. Planning a wedding is stressful, especially where you're doing all of the planning yourself (as we were), and Twenty Five Lusk went way above and beyond, even arranging for us the rental of cocktail-height tables and linens to match with our aesthetic. And all of this--gorgeous space, divine food, fantastic service--at a fraction of what we would have paid for ANY other reception option in San Francisco (we know, because we did extensive research). Like our decision to get married, choosing Twenty Five Lusk for our reception is one of the best decisions we've ever made. We can't recommend them enough!

We looked around at a bunch of different venues for a couple months, but it was difficult to find a place we loved for our guest count of 200. When we found Aracely, we knew almost immediately that this was it—beautiful sunlit garden area, cute cafe space, and just a dream of a courtyard with flowing white curtains topped off with string-lit skylight dome. We loved that they were able to do the food, drinks, furnishings, and reception set-up, and coordination internally, which helped us out so much and saved us from too much planning craziness. Linda and her team are super professional, knowledgeable, and have a keen eye for design, and Tina, our day-of-coordinator, was extremely kind, patient, flexible, and just wonderful to work with. Even with the typical wedding day chaos, the Aracely team somehow rolled with the punches and made everything work out really well :) The kitchen staff and menu selection are ON POINT. All of our guests loved the dishes, appetizers, and drinks, as did we! Located in an old elementary school on treasure island, Aracely takes an old structure and turns it into something beautiful. Thank you Aracely for the kindness, the deliciousness, and the loveliness you gave to our special day!

The space was lovely, the food was great, the events team is very accommodating and responsive. We had a few changes along the way and they were able to help us with everything. We misunderstood a few things, like hosted beer only available from the servers not at the floating bar, but it all worked out fine!

I had no idea that The Cheese School of San Francisco offered cheese wheel wedding cakes! This was such a treat as my Maid of Honor and I are obsessed with wine and cheese and we love events at the Cheese School. When I saw this offering, It was a MUST! It is pricey, but i am so happy my husband and I decided to splurge on this. We also had a traditional Wedding Cake. Not only did we love this more than the cake, our guests thought it was amazing and I have to say it was probably the biggest hit of the wedding. We had the full service and the lady that came to our wedding was extremely professional, so sweet and we were so happy to have her appropriately serve the cheese. That is a service I wasn't sure was needed and IT IS (someone serve, accompaniments and decor)! Everyone loved this and if you love cheese, want something slightly unusual, and is stunning to look at, Order a Cheese Wheel Wedding Cake!

For anyone looking for a classic venue with vintage, tropical flair in the heart of San Francisco, the lounge at Le Colonial is the spot! Last Fall, we had a lovely late afternoon/early evening cocktail wedding reception for about 165 friends and family with live music from the incredible Cosmo Alleycats in the lounge at Le Colonial. The setting was beautifully intimate and the food absolutely delicious! Although we had a moment of concern mid-way through the planning process when we called to speak to our event contact and was informed they were no longer with the venue, our new contact, Michelle, returning to Le Colonial, was a total blessing! Michelle was collaborative and communicative every step of the way – working with us and our day-of wedding coordinator to ensure our vision came to life! She even helped us negotiate keeping our special request Mitchell’s ice cream cake frozen to add to Le Colonial’s already amazing fruit and mini dessert spread and also made sure we had a piece to enjoy at the end of the night. In addition to helping us keep our costs within budget, Michelle generously set-up an indulgent and memorable tasting dinner for us with Le Colonial’s remarkable restaurant staff. Michelle and the rest of the team at Le Colonial helped make our day full of joy and ease!

We hosted our wedding reception on 8.18.18 at China Live. It is THE perfect balance of beautiful event space and great restaurant (I did not want to deal with a production-heavy venue that required us to bring everything in and there are very few restaurants in the city that can fit 100+ guests + dancefloor). The space and food are incredible, AND the planning leading up to it was seamless and easy. They have everything you need in house - no renting chivari chairs for an extra $12+ a pop. They have a ton of tables options as well as lounge furniture (which was actually secured the week of our event ensuring we wouldn't have to spend on pricey rentals). Nicole (the event coordinator) is a rock star among rock stars and makes this venue exceptional. Responsive, organized, thoughtful, she has a great sense of style and is fun. I'm not kidding...party planning was fun with her - she was constantly throwing out ideas for us that I had never even conceived of/knew were an option (e.g., see above re: securing the clutch lounge furniture, sorting out a modified version of their signature cocktail to fit our budget, fixing the menu to serve snacks in cute to-go chinese boxes so guests could keep moving around, directing us to photos on their roofdeck, generally keeping me sane while I was fretting about decor - which actually wasn't even that necessary because the space is lovely, etc.) While we only threw a party focused on dancing and food, after going over all the options it's clear the possibilities for this venue are endless - so many beautiful spaces and surprises (a gorgeous speakeasy, a more intimate richly decorated events space, of course the larger event space with a great view of the city, fun nooks and crannies to explore, and the entire lower restaurant and shop beneath). I would recommend this venue to anyone who love Chinese food and/or culture. It really was a special and memorable event. My husband and I are proud China Lif-ers .
