Being from California and now living on Cape Cod, when we started to plan our wedding we knew we did not want the typical Cape Cod wedding of sand dunes and beaches. When you step onto Truro Vineyards' property you are taken to another place, you know you are on Cape Cod but it sure doesn't feel like that. The grounds are gorgeous and filled with history. Grape vines fill the hillsides. It is beautiful. Our reception was held in the Barrel Room where the wine is aged. It is an amazing space. A fresco painting of Cape Cod fills one wall with rows of barrels along the opposite wall. The space holds about 40 people. The setting was intimate, warm and smelled amazing. Nicole, the event manager, is wonderful and incredibly helpful. She answered all of our questions and offered ideas we had not considered including having a cocktail and hor d'eouver hour on the front lawn under the 200 year old Mulberry tree. Kristen, the owner of Truro Vineyards, was so wonderful as well. When we booked the October date, she treated us to a wine tasting and informed the group that there would be an additional sampling of the sparkling wine, popped the cork and toasted us. It was very sweet. The entire staff at Truro Vineyards was warm and welcoming each time we visited.
