Trappetello

Il Trapetello is a historic Puglian estate where centuries of tradition meet a warm, family-style approach to hospitality — and where no two weddings ever look the same, because we simply don't believe they should.

The property itself is one of the things guests remember most. Beneath the estate lie the original tufo caves — the hollowed-out chambers where an ancient olive oil mill once stood — now a striking, atmospheric space unlike anything you'll find elsewhere in the region. Above ground, our grounds and event spaces range across different settings and moods, from intimate and rustic to elegant and open-air, so your ceremony, aperitivo, and reception can each have their own distinct feel across the same estate. With 18 double rooms (convertible to twin beds, two with an extra bed available), we can also host you and your closest guests right on site — waking up together the morning after, still surrounded by the place where you celebrated.

What we're known for: couples come to us for the freedom to shape their day exactly as they imagine it, without being boxed into a fixed package. We're known for our in-house restaurant and chef, who work hand in hand with every couple to design a menu from scratch — whether that's classic Puglian flavors, a family recipe passed down for generations, or something entirely new. It's this flexibility, paired with the raw beauty of the estate, that couples tell us they can't find anywhere else.

How we make every wedding special: we don't start from a price list — we start by listening. Every couple who reaches out is invited to a video call (wherever you're calling from, don't worry about the time difference) where we get to know you, your story, and your vision for the day. From there, our chef and team build a menu and an experience around your budget and your taste, not the other way around. That's how we're able to give each couple something that truly feels made for them, rather than picked off a shelf.
