John was phenomenal!! My husband and I found John (Tower Entertainment) through a family friend. We met over appetizers at a local Catonsville restaurant, chatting about music tastes and reception plans. We’d met with two other DJ’s near Annapolis and Rockville—John was by far the most professional and competitively priced. He was a great emcee and honored all of our requests throughout the night, including a “no play” list. My husband and I have eclectic taste in music, and John managed to intertwine all of our tastes while keeping the dance floor packed with all ages. We even decided to skip one of our planned songs because we didn’t want the party to stop on the dance floor!

I've known John for many years, but had never had the pleasure of attending one of his events, but I'm absolutely elated that I asked him to DJ for my wedding. John has refined his craft over many years to the point of perfection. From the first sit down, we knew we were in good hands. It felt like a huge document at first glance, but John starts off with a script that covers every possible bullet point for a wedding reception (and ceremony!). He has every single part of the day figured out well in advance, and then he shows up, sets up extremely high quality equipment, and uses that super important script, as a rough guide! All of the planning he does with you gets shifted around on the fly and things will be fit together the way it makes sense. John keeps your guests happy, and you happier by letting the night naturally flow from intros to first dances to cake cutting to final song. Our big day was on NYE and of course included a midnight count down and watching fireworks. I could not be happier with the job that John did and if you're considering John for your event, you'd be foolish not to hire this guy!

John was very friendly, organized, and enthusiastic. He got to know our personalities and musical tastes, and we were very pleased with his work. He even adapted to our venue - there were a few changes in his set-up on the day of the wedding, but we didn't even know until after the reception was over!

John was great from the beginning. We set up a consultation (over dinner) a while ago and it was great to just sit and talk music for a whole evening. He also really knows his stuff and understands how to orchestrate the whole evening - and walked us through that from the get-go. This was great since it helped us understand the nitty-gritty of the whole agenda for the evening. Things that I'd never really considered before but definitely needed to think about!

He was also extremely accommodating with what we wanted to play. I had a slew of 'must plays' and he definitely hit the big stuff. I had gotten totally behind the eight-ball last week and hadn't emailed John the ceremony play-list until Thursday evening. Friday & Saturday morning he was emailing back and forth with me and the maid of honor to make sure that he got the exactly correct versions of the songs I needed.

Everything was wonderful, the dance floor was rocking, and I couldn't be happier! Thanks!!

I can't say enough about how great John was. He did a fantastic job. He was by far our most organized vendor. He was friendly and enthusiastic, and very communicative. On the day of, not only did he expertly read our crowd, but he helped keep us on track during the crazy transitions. My husband and I are so glad that we were able to get him to DJ our wedding, and 100% recommend him to anyone who wants a smooth, and awesome, wedding.

We hired John as our DJ after he DJ'ed a friend's wedding a few years ago, and we are so glad we did. Not only is he a great person-friendly and enthusiastic, but he really knows how to organize a fantastic ceremony and reception. Right off the bat, during our consultation, John ensured he would keep us moving through the reception and help get the formal things done first so we could enjoy ourselves the rest of the time. He sent us a form to fill out after the consult that made it easy to just enter our choices for songs for certain events. He also wanted to make sure he pronounced everyone's names correctly during the wedding party intros and directed everyone in the wedding party as to what was going on (this probably comes from years of hockey experience)! Lastly, he played some great songs that got everyone in the dancing mood. Some of our guests couldn't get themselves OFF of the dance floor because they loved every song he played! All in all, we had a great time!
