I was exhausted from making all the wedding decor up to the last day before the wedding and Elizabeth made me look like a million dollars. Shout out to Caitlin and Alicia who also made my bridal team look stunning! Elizabeth from the beginning was very sweet and helpful and felt like family because she cares about your wants and needs for the wedding. They executed everything perfectly. They truly are the best at what they do and I would highly recommend this company!

Liz was amazing! I did my hair and makeup trial with her in August, and she just did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past weekend. I absolutely love how I looked both times.

She did a great job of looking at my inspo photos and adapting the application to my face. I felt like myself - just a much more glam version. Everyone was complimenting me on how beautiful the hair and makeup looked at the wedding. I really felt so amazing and confident.

And despite a rainy wedding day, my makeup lasted from 9:30 am to 2:30 am, all through the ceremony, reception and after party. My lashes stayed put, and no creasing or caking.

Liz was so down to earth, quick to respond, and her pricing is very fair too. I would definitely recommend her!

Elizabeth has been in our events circle for some time. A friend of a friend of a friend type situation. I knew after being on my friend Sarah’s wedding that she was the one for me. I didn’t even do a wedding make up trial because I knew she could handle whatever it was I needed for my special day. Not only did everyone look GORGEOUS but she was flexible, understanding of hiccups, and wears many hats the day of. For my friends wedding her company did both my hair and makeup which was AMAZING. On my own wedding day Elizabeth did my makeup and I felt beautiful, like myself and completely calm. This was one vendor I absolutely knew had my back. Not only on my wedding day did she do my makeup but she wore many hats as she helped my mom zip up her dress that got stuck and helped move things around for the photographers it was awesome and something I will always remember! Elizabeth was recommended by my cousin. She responded quickly to my emails and invited me into her home for a makeup trial. Elizabeth used a variety of makeup brands including airbrush. I explained to her that I would be tanner come the wedding day and she used a darker foundation to show me what it would look like. The trial was perfect! I explained that I wanted my eyebrows to look more natural and she did just that. The day of the wedding she arrived early and worked for hours by herself on 10 women! She hardly took a break! She was friendly and made our "getting ready" portion of the day so fun. I don't know how this is possible but she kicked it up a notch the day of my wedding and my makeup was even more beautiful than my trial! I have hooded eyes which is a difficult shape to work with and she applied my eyeshadow perfectly to make my eyes look more open. I can't wait to find an excuse to use Elizabeth again. Don't question it, just book Elizabeth!! You won't regret it!!

Elizabeth is amazing! Can’t speak highly enough about her and her work. We got married on the hottest day of the summer and my make up did not melt off and it looked unreal. She was very flexible with last minute schedule changes. I’ve been in so many weddings and she is the best person I have ever worked with and very reasonably priced. Elizabeth is extremely talented, professional, and friendly - everything you want in your glam team for your big day. I met Elizabeth through my sister-in-law - she used her for her wedding, and I loved how she did everyone's hair and makeup. After I emailed her, she messaged me promptly and we set up a date for a trial.

I met at Elizabeth's house for my trial. She took the time needed to discuss exactly what I wanted for my hair. For makeup, I didn't have any idea of what I wanted so she offered advice on what would look good. Elizabeth really took her time doing my hair and applying my make-up and it looked perfect! I left my trial knowing I would book with her!

A few weeks prior to the big day, Elizabeth made a schedule for myself and 9 other women for hair and makeup. She made sure to confirm all the details with me a few days prior as well.

On the big day, she was early and got right to work. She brought an assistant, Lexi, was also very friendly and sweet. Elizabeth and Lexi didn't take any breaks, and went from one girl to the next. Some of my girls had an idea of what they wanted, others gave them freedom; regardless, they did an amazing job on all of my girls! Everyone looked gorgeous and got what they wanted (and more). Our hair and makeup lasted the entire night - through sweat and lots of tears!

In terms of my hair and make-up, it was even better than my trial. I didn't have any changes to make from the trial, other than my hair being a bit smoother (no flyaways or loose parts). Somehow though, it came out even more beautiful than the trial! My makeup too was soft and romantic, just like I wanted. I felt like a princess.

I had met Elizabeth and seen her work back in 2014 for my now Sister-in-laws wedding, it was so amazing that when I got engaged, she was the first vendor I contacted. Right from the start, Elizabeth was responsive, professional and friendly. Setting up a trial was incredibly easy and finalizing last minute details was quick and painless. I had a huge bridal party with around 13 attendants that needed hair/makeup services and this was no problem for Elizabeth or her team. They came in, set right up and jumped in. We had three little ones running around and Elizabeth didn't miss a beat. One of the best things about her and her team was the fact that they asked each person for feedback while they were working and consistently made any adjustments necessary so that each bridal attendant was happy with their look. My hair and makeup were just stunning and stayed on all night. I highly recommend hiring Elizabeth for your wedding, you will NOT be disappointed. She goes above and beyond to make your day amazing. I first found Liz as she did my hair and makeup for another wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I fell in love with her work and how she made me look and feel! I do not wear heavy makeup on a daily basis, and Liz takes all that into consideration when doing your makeup. She gives each client the look that they will feel most comfortable and beautiful wearing all day long! The airbrush makeup that they use is so light, looks flawless in pictures, and lasted all day and into the night! Liz is very flexible with traveling and creating a “hair and makeup schedule” for the wedding day! Liz and her assistant made my wedding day bridal prep fun and enjoyable! We were able to joke and laugh and they kept my nervous-self feeling a sense of comfort the whole time! There was plenty of time for each person (bride, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and flower girl) to get their hair and makeup completed and be ready in time for the photographer to start pictures at the scheduled time. They made the bridal prep a very “easy-going and stress-free” experience! One thing that I truly love about the Updo Guru is that it is a one-stop shop! Liz and her assistant are both spectacular with hair and makeup, so it is one less vendor to have to find during the crazy wedding-planning process. There were a variety of different hair styles that they perfected for each person’s desired-look (both up-do’s, and down with curls as well)- and each one turned out beautiful. Every person was extremely satisfied with how they looked and felt that day! I highly recommend Liz!

Wow!! What a wonderful experience I had with Elizabeth! I had originally booked her to do my makeup (and my bridal party's make up) for my wedding. She was extremely organized, efficient, and incredibly sweet from day one. She was very responsive to all my make up questions and made me feel very relaxed and excited about the entire process.
About 2 months out from my wedding, the hair stylist I had booked had cancelled on me. I emailed Elizabeth right away hoping she knew someone that could fill in on makeup, and if she could work on hair instead. Within minutes, Elizabeth responded and assured me that she could take care of both services and not to worry at all! She relieved all of my worries within minutes! My wedding day Hair and makeup (as well as my trial) were both flawless and amazing. For my hair, I picked a very non-traditional hair style that Elizabeth executed better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone raved about my hair. I even had a custom wedding dress made, and I had more compliments on my amazing hair than on my dress!! My bridal party loved their hair and makeup, and my mother said that it was her favorite part of her entire look that evening! On top of having the best hair and makeup experience I have ever had, Elizabeth and her team were AHEAD of schedule and finished earlier than we had anticipated.
