Best Make up/Hair Team Ever!

This was the best experience for not just myself but the whole team! I was exhausted from making all the wedding decor up to the last day before the wedding and Elizabeth made me look like a million dollars. Shout out to Caitlin and Alicia who also made my bridal team look stunning! Elizabeth from the beginning was very sweet and helpful and felt like family because she cares about your wants and needs for the wedding. They executed everything perfectly. They truly are the best at what they do and I would highly recommend this company!

Highly recommend!

Liz was amazing! I did my hair and makeup trial with her in August, and she just did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past weekend. I absolutely love how I looked both times.

She did a great job of looking at my inspo photos and adapting the application to my face. I felt like myself - just a much more glam version. Everyone was complimenting me on how beautiful the hair and makeup looked at the wedding. I really felt so amazing and confident.

And despite a rainy wedding day, my makeup lasted from 9:30 am to 2:30 am, all through the ceremony, reception and after party. My lashes stayed put, and no creasing or caking.

Liz was so down to earth, quick to respond, and her pricing is very fair too. I would definitely recommend her!

Elizabeth has been in our events circle for some time. A friend of a friend of a friend type situation. I knew after being on my friend Sarah’s wedding that she was the one for me. I didn’t even do a wedding make up trial because I knew she could handle whatever it was I needed for my special day. Not only did everyone look GORGEOUS but she was flexible, understanding of hiccups, and wears many hats the day of. For my friends wedding her company did both my hair and makeup which was AMAZING. On my own wedding day Elizabeth did my makeup and I felt beautiful, like myself and completely calm. This was one vendor I absolutely knew had my back. Not only on my wedding day did she do my makeup but she wore many hats as she helped my mom zip up her dress that got stuck and helped move things around for the photographers it was awesome and something I will always remember! Hire Elizabeth ASAP!!

Elizabeth was recommended by my cousin. She responded quickly to my emails and invited me into her home for a makeup trial. Elizabeth used a variety of makeup brands including airbrush. I explained to her that I would be tanner come the wedding day and she used a darker foundation to show me what it would look like. The trial was perfect! I explained that I wanted my eyebrows to look more natural and she did just that. The day of the wedding she arrived early and worked for hours by herself on 10 women! She hardly took a break! She was friendly and made our "getting ready" portion of the day so fun. I don't know how this is possible but she kicked it up a notch the day of my wedding and my makeup was even more beautiful than my trial! I have hooded eyes which is a difficult shape to work with and she applied my eyeshadow perfectly to make my eyes look more open. I can't wait to find an excuse to use Elizabeth again. Don't question it, just book Elizabeth!! You won't regret it!!

Amazing wedding makeup and hair

Elizabeth is amazing! Can’t speak highly enough about her and her work. We got married on the hottest day of the summer and my make up did not melt off and it looked unreal. She was very flexible with last minute schedule changes. I’ve been in so many weddings and she is the best person I have ever worked with and very reasonably priced. Will recommend her always and use her for any future needs.

Book elizabeth jones!

Elizabeth is extremely talented, professional, and friendly - everything you want in your glam team for your big day. I met Elizabeth through my sister-in-law - she used her for her wedding, and I loved how she did everyone's hair and makeup. After I emailed her, she messaged me promptly and we set up a date for a trial.

I met at Elizabeth's house for my trial. She took the time needed to discuss exactly what I wanted for my hair. For makeup, I didn't have any idea of what I wanted so she offered advice on what would look good. Elizabeth really took her time doing my hair and applying my make-up and it looked perfect! I left my trial knowing I would book with her!

A few weeks prior to the big day, Elizabeth made a schedule for myself and 9 other women for hair and makeup. She made sure to confirm all the details with me a few days prior as well.

On the big day, she was early and got right to work. She brought an assistant, Lexi, was also very friendly and sweet. Elizabeth and Lexi didn't take any breaks, and went from one girl to the next. Some of my girls had an idea of what they wanted, others gave them freedom; regardless, they did an amazing job on all of my girls! Everyone looked gorgeous and got what they wanted (and more). Our hair and makeup lasted the entire night - through sweat and lots of tears!

In terms of my hair and make-up, it was even better than my trial. I didn't have any changes to make from the trial, other than my hair being a bit smoother (no flyaways or loose parts). Somehow though, it came out even more beautiful than the trial! My makeup too was soft and romantic, just like I wanted. I felt like a princess.

Elizabeth made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. I am sure if you book with her, you will too.

Beyond Impressed

I had met Elizabeth and seen her work back in 2014 for my now Sister-in-laws wedding, it was so amazing that when I got engaged, she was the first vendor I contacted. Right from the start, Elizabeth was responsive, professional and friendly. Setting up a trial was incredibly easy and finalizing last minute details was quick and painless. I had a huge bridal party with around 13 attendants that needed hair/makeup services and this was no problem for Elizabeth or her team. They came in, set right up and jumped in. We had three little ones running around and Elizabeth didn't miss a beat. One of the best things about her and her team was the fact that they asked each person for feedback while they were working and consistently made any adjustments necessary so that each bridal attendant was happy with their look. My hair and makeup were just stunning and stayed on all night. I highly recommend hiring Elizabeth for your wedding, you will NOT be disappointed. She goes above and beyond to make your day amazing. Feeling: Flawless & Beautiful!

I first found Liz as she did my hair and makeup for another wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I fell in love with her work and how she made me look and feel! I do not wear heavy makeup on a daily basis, and Liz takes all that into consideration when doing your makeup. She gives each client the look that they will feel most comfortable and beautiful wearing all day long! The airbrush makeup that they use is so light, looks flawless in pictures, and lasted all day and into the night! Liz is very flexible with traveling and creating a “hair and makeup schedule” for the wedding day! Liz and her assistant made my wedding day bridal prep fun and enjoyable! We were able to joke and laugh and they kept my nervous-self feeling a sense of comfort the whole time! There was plenty of time for each person (bride, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and flower girl) to get their hair and makeup completed and be ready in time for the photographer to start pictures at the scheduled time. They made the bridal prep a very “easy-going and stress-free” experience! One thing that I truly love about the Updo Guru is that it is a one-stop shop! Liz and her assistant are both spectacular with hair and makeup, so it is one less vendor to have to find during the crazy wedding-planning process. There were a variety of different hair styles that they perfected for each person’s desired-look (both up-do’s, and down with curls as well)- and each one turned out beautiful. Every person was extremely satisfied with how they looked and felt that day! I highly recommend Liz!

Wow!! What a wonderful experience I had with Elizabeth! I had originally booked her to do my makeup (and my bridal party's make up) for my wedding. She was extremely organized, efficient, and incredibly sweet from day one. She was very responsive to all my make up questions and made me feel very relaxed and excited about the entire process.
About 2 months out from my wedding, the hair stylist I had booked had cancelled on me. I emailed Elizabeth right away hoping she knew someone that could fill in on makeup, and if she could work on hair instead. Within minutes, Elizabeth responded and assured me that she could take care of both services and not to worry at all! She relieved all of my worries within minutes! My wedding day Hair and makeup (as well as my trial) were both flawless and amazing. For my hair, I picked a very non-traditional hair style that Elizabeth executed better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone raved about my hair. I even had a custom wedding dress made, and I had more compliments on my amazing hair than on my dress!! My bridal party loved their hair and makeup, and my mother said that it was her favorite part of her entire look that evening! On top of having the best hair and makeup experience I have ever had, Elizabeth and her team were AHEAD of schedule and finished earlier than we had anticipated. She is an extremely talented and amazing individual. I would highly recommend her for your wedding day!! Thank you for everything Elizabeth!

I used the Updo Guru for my wedding on May 5, 2018. Such a great decision! Liz and her assistant arrived to our hotel suite at 6AM and too care of myself, my daughter, bridal party, mother, mother and sister in law. We all got makeup done. Some also got eyelashes and updos. I normally don't wear makeup and she knew exactly what to do to make me feel comfortable and beautiful. Our makeup and hair stayed perfect for the entire day. They were professional and gave excellent service. Highly recommend them for anyone looking to get hair and makeup done!

INCREDIBLE!! I have got to say, she was reasonably priced for such a talented artist!! Elizabeth is also the sweetest thing on two feet. She did my Bridal Shower hair & makeup as well as my Wedding day hair. I first learned of her when my sister was getting married two years ago and I knew I had to have her be apart of my look for my special day. I had an absolutely fabulous experience with Elizabeth and The Updo Guru team. Working with Elizabeth was a dream come true; She was highly professional, responded quickly to e-mails, phone calls, and text messages, and her sweet and fun personality was amazing to be around. The day of the wedding Elizabeth and her three assistants arrived early and prepared to do makeup and hair for 13 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, three flower girls, and myself (yes, that's 19 people total) within a four-hour timeframe. To say the morning of the wedding would be a little hectic would be an understatement, but Elizabeth kept calm, she made everyone feel comfortable and the end results were exactly what we had hoped for. Everyone looked natural, beautiful, and glowed in our photos. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup and both lasted all night (even after a boat ride). A friend recommended me to Elizabeth after she said all of her neices used her for their weddings. She was always super responsive and easy to work with. When I went for my trial she was able to replicate exactly what I imagined for my hair/makeup and was very receptive to what I wanted. On the day of my wedding she was so organized and kept to her time schedule so we were actually done a little early, which kept the day relaxing and stress-free. All of my bridesmaids wanted very different hair styles and have different types of hair and Elizabeth was able to do everything perfectly. She is so versatile and talented. She can do anything you ask and also is very insightful if you need help deciding what will work best for you. I wish she did hair/make up for individual people on the side because she is just that amazing!! I would recommend her to anyone.

I booked Elizabeth for my September 16 wedding and boy were her and her team were incredible! They were able to get all 14 of us looking amazing while staying ahead of schedule. Elizabeth was able to take the ideas that I had and make them even better. Myself, all of my bridesmaids, mom and grandma were blown away with how great their hair and makeup looked. She really exceeded by expectations. Everyone looked beautiful and best of all still natural. My whole wedding party also had so much fun with Elizabeth's whole crew. They had fun, outgoing personalities that made the whole wedding morning experience memorable. The wedding was over a month ago and everyone is still talking about how awesome The Updo Guru was.

I booked Elizabeth Jones for my May 12th wedding and could not have been more pleased with the results! I received countless compliments on my hair (no one could see the extensions!) and my makeup held perfectly the entire night. Elizabeth is absolutely amazing! She did my hair for a friends wedding and I loved it so much that I knew when it was my turn that she was my only choice. She is so down to earth and easy to get along with. Most importantly she's not pushy and listens to you. My trial was so fun I brought my mom and she also fell in love with her. On the actual wedding day she showed up earlier than expected and handled all my annoying friends with such grace and made any changes that anyone needed (there were several and I know this can be very stressful on someone). I loved my trial but I was obsessed with the way my hair came out on my actual wedding day. She made ME feel like myself. My hair typically doesn't hold a curl-this stayed ALLLLL night even into the next day. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still getting compliments. I would recommend Elizabeth to everyone I know, she's fabulous!!!!!!!

Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend other brides to use her! During the trial, I told Elizabeth that I have extremely twitchy eyes but I really wanted to try fake eyelashes. She had such patience with me and was able to put the eyelashes on. I told Elizabeth I wanted a natural look and she delivered. The airbrush foundation was wonderful and lasted all day and night. For my hair, I showed her a bunch of pictures that I liked and she used a combination of all of them and gave me the best hairstyle. All of my bridesmaids loved their makeup and hair as well. I am extremely happy that I used Elizabeth for my wedding and I would use her again if I had another event. Elizabeth is professional, friendly, and great to work with.

Elizabeth Jones absolutely lives up to her name: The Updo Guru! From the trials all the way to the special day, Liz was perfectly magnificent! I really had no idea what I wanted to do for my hair and make-up so I put my faith in her completely and she worked magic. I never felt as beautiful as I did on the day of my wedding! As I look at my beautiful pictures from Ephemera Photographics, I can truly appreciate her handiwork, because I just LOVE the way my hair and make-up looked. I was recommended to Elizabeth by a friend. We actually had worked on a wedding together. Being in the hair business myself it was actually a tougher decision. Everyone I work with would be attending my wedding, and I didn't want to put them out. (And I am super picky) As soon as I met Elizabeth I was excited! She was adorable (with amazing hair herself) and had such an awesome personality. By the end of the trial I knew she was the girl I wanted the day of my wedding. I barely had to tell her anything and it was as if she read my mind. She took care of scheduling, never once did I have to stress about time. She did myself, my mom, mother in law, two flower girls, and 9 bridesmaids all with the help of one assistant. As fast as she works, still every single one of my girls looked flawless. We all got compliments the whole night, and the hair stayed put! I have already recommended her to a couple of my own clients due to scheduling conflict. Elizabeth and her assistant were awesome. After booking her for our July wedding she was more than accommodating. She answered all my emails and texts super promptly and with all the patience in the world even though I was super nervous! All of the girls were thrilled with their hair and makeup and it stayed perfect all night! Even through a monsoon! If your considering booking the Updo Guro just do it. My hair stylist recommended Liz for my hair and make up. I cannot imagine my wedding day preparations without her. From the time of our booking Liz was efficient and professional with her communication. She did trials for both hair and make up, working together to incorporate my visions and her expertise. On the day of the wedding, Liz and her assistant went right to work on the bridal party. She made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The airbrush make up was flawless and upheld in the June heat, as well as hours of dancing. My hair stayed in place the entire night. I am still getting compliments about Liz's beautiful work!

I was referred to Liz from a coworker who grew up with her. I had followed her social media account and loved her work. She was so sweet on our email exchanges and even more sweeter when I met her in person! She was a blast to work with, and made our getting ready morning so much fun with her and her assistant. Every one loved their hair and make up for the day, and Liz did a fabulous job of glamming me up!! It was a hot, humid and hazy afternoon combined with lots of dancing, but my hair and make up still looked absolutely by the end of the evening! I booked Liz to do my wedding day hair and makeup after meeting her at a bridal show. We got married 2 weeks ago at The Palace at Somerset Park. Liz and her assistant, Kristin, worked very efficiently to get hair and makeup done on time for me, my 5 bridesmaids, and my mother-in-law. They didn't take a break until everyone's hair/makeup was finished and they made sure we looked flawless. I have never felt so beautiful, and my hair and makeup stayed flawless until the next morning! Everyone complimented me and my bridal party on how gorgeous we looked. We recently got married at the Smithville Inn this past weekend and my bridesmaids, my mom and myself have nothing but incredible things to say About Liz and her assistant!
She arrived perfectly on time, and was ready to work! She did not take a single break until every girl was done, and she stuck to her schedule and finished in perfect timing. She worked with every single person and their requests and suggestions. She's very patient with all her clients, and was really a joy to work with. Every single bridesmaid was very happy and satisfied with how their hair and makeup came out, and kept complimenting Liz's skill throughout the entire process.

I met Liz at a bridal show while with my friend before I was even engaged. Something about her stuck and when I went to plan my own wedding she was the first and only person I wound up having a trial with. She is so easy to talk to and made me feel really comfortable. I had the luck of the blizzard of 2016 landing on my wedding day. Liz, despite me insisting she didn't need to come out to New Hope, PA for fear she would be snowed in, took it upon herself to make sure her and her assistant were there. I am eternally grateful she didn't listen to my warnings. All efforts by my venue to have my wedding as planned were thwarted by the state of emergency. Liz didn't skip a beat. In some cases, she was the voice of reason and helped calm my nerves. She did my make up and hair to perfection for an intimate ceremony on the day my wedding was supposed to be, and stayed the next day to do it all again to make sure I looked my best for both weddings. She is a beautiful soul inside and out and I am so grateful I found her and hired her for what turned into a wild wedding weekend. She is simply the best. Thank you Liz!!!

We had our wedding on March 5th, 2016 and I can truly say I have never felt more beautiful in my life as I did on that day.
Liz is AMAZING. I hired her to do hair and makeup for myself, the six girls in my bridal party, and my mother and everyone was raving about how gorgeous they looked!!
I am an emotional person and I have to admit I cried quite a bit on my wedding day (happy tears of course!) and at midnight, I still looked exactly the same way I did ten hours earlier when Liz finished my hair and makeup. Through all the tears, the dancing, and all the hugs and kisses I received from guests - my makeup and hair stayed flawless through it all.

Got married in October 17. Elizabeth was one of the first venders I had booked for my wedding. ElizaBeth was quick with responding and answered any questions I had regarding her services. From our first email exchange I knew I wanted to work with her.

I used Elizabeth for my wedding in May 2015, and she was absolutely amazing. I met with her ahead of time for a trial, and during the trial, she helped me decide on the perfect updo and makeup to complete my wedding look. She even helped me to find a hairpiece that would fit my hair style and dress. Throughout the entire process, Elizabeth responded to all of my questions, checked in and finalized all details. Because my wedding began at 11:30 a.m., she was even willing to come extremely early to the hotel to begin hair and make up! I lived far away from the venue, as well as my bridesmaids, so I loved that she came to the hotel where we were staying for bridal prep. It allowed for a very seemless, calm and relaxing morning. I hired Elizabeth for hair styling for my wedding this past August. She was absolutely wonderful. I had 2 trials with her, and both times she gave me exactly what I asked for. We found the perfect updo at my second trial! Elizabeth is extremely responsive to e-mails, very friendly, and just super easy to work with during the planning process. She also works very quickly! She did my hair as well as hair for all my bridesmaids, and we were all done well ahead of schedule (which according to my wedding coordinator is extremely rare since hair/makeup usually takes longer than anticipated)! Our updo's also lasted all night long! I highly recommend Elizabeth for any wedding or special event!

Elizabeth was an absolute pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend her to another bride and her bridesmaids! Including me, Elizabeth and Kristin did hair and make-up for my 8 bridesmaids and my Mom and we finished on time and ready for the photographer. We all were so happy with how our hair and make-up turned out for the wedding day and were thrilled with how well our hair and airbrushed make-up held up throughout the day!

Elizabeth is punctual, professional, reasonably priced, and willing to work with her clients to achieve the look they have in mind. She was willing to travel and work with our photographer/church schedule to make sure we had more than enough time to finish everyone's hair and make-up. I had my trial a year out from my wedding day and although I really liked my hair up in the updo we did, I decided to wear my hair half-up, half-down on my wedding day and Elizabeth was more than accommodating to change the look and help me achieve exactly how I wanted to look and feel on my wedding day. I really can't say enough wonderful things about Elizabeth and her team. Elizabeth was our hair stylist for my August 2015 wedding. I found her by searching on Wedding Wire and could not be more thrilled with my decision. From the beginning emails to the trial to my mom's trial and finally at the wedding, Elizabeth was a true professional. Her talent is immediately recognized when you see your perfect hair, but I think her patience, her ability to listen, her excellent communication skills, her promptness and her flexibility made my experience even better.

Elizabeth came to the hotel where we were getting ready, and worked tirelessly for 7 hours creating the most beautiful hairstyles! Everyone (really everyone!) loved their hair, and everyone looked perfect. I was so happy to have Elizabeth with us all day; she put everyone at ease and was really fun to be around.

Elizabeth was recommended to my by my videographer after I hated my first makeup trial from another salon and I am SO glad he gave me her info. At my trial, she was so easy to talk to and really got a feel for how I wanted my make up. After it was done, it was above and beyond what I imagined and I was just so relieved I had found such a talented artist that understood exactly what I wanted. The day of, she was very prompt with her assistant and they went to work on my bridesmaids and my mom. They all said how much they loved their makeup and they really did look absolutely stunning! Day of the wedding she arrived ahead of time and was completely set up and ready to go before needed.

Elizabeth, the Updo Guru did an amazing job and was so fun to get ready with! I've never felt more beautiful in my life.

I initially met Elizabeth at a bridal show about a year before our wedding. She was approachable, funny and included her price list on her information. That is huge! I had such a hard time finding prices for hair/makeup and was so relieved how open she was regarding pricing. Her pricing is the best I've seen and her talents exceeded all my expectations!

Scheduling a trial a few months prior, she had great suggestions and worked with me to really love the hair and makeup decisions I made. As someone who doesn't wear much makeup, I needed a lot of help figuring out what to do. She immediately knew which hair and makeup would look good on me and I trusted her completely from that point on.

Getting ready the day of, she had us all at ease, as we listened to 80's music and talked about life and how we got to that day. All of my bridesmaids and mother used her services as well and could not stop raving about her and her team. One of my bridesmaids has already recommended her to a friend, who booked her immediately for her own wedding.

Elizabeth and Kristen were amazing- so laid back and willing to travel to my parents' house to service our bridal party of 6 girls, plus bride and mother of the bride. They are incredibly professional and made me so at ease the whole day, they finished far ahead of schedule and were able to add extra services including an extra makeup appointment and lashes. Elizabeth and Kristen were true professionals from the time they arrived at the hotel the day of my wedding to the time they left. Elizabeth was outstanding! She was flawless in her work! I found a side braid I loved and she effortlessly made all my bridesmaids look stunning. She made my mother so happy with her timeless updo. And she went above and beyond smoothing out my flower girls' hair so that they looked like little angels with their floral headpieces. The make-up work was gorgeous, I could not have pictured my bridal party looking anymore vibrant than they did! Elizabeth remained calm the whole time, and everyone was finished well before the time frame ended. All the girls looked absolutely gorgeous. She redid one makeup and Allison redid 2 hairsyles so my girls would be happy, and they took all suggestions and moved quickly. I felt so beautiful, and they were so fun! I even changed my hairstyle the day off, and she didn't even blink an eye! Elizabeth is definitely the best out there!

Liz was amazing at my wedding, the trial went perfect, she did exactly what I wanted. And then the day of I changed my mind and wanted another look, and didn't have to worry at all, she nailed it! She was extremely flexible with the amount of girls, and me changing my mind so much. I cant begin to tell you how relieved I was to find her. First of all, let me say that I was a VERY picky and indecisive bride! (As I'm sure many of you are!) Elizabeth knows how to deal with crazy overthinking brides..trust me!

Elizabeth and her team were fantastic on my wedding day. They arrived exactly at the time she said they would and we came out ahead of schedule (which we thought might be tight due to the fact that I had 12 women getting hair and makeup).

Everything went smoothly and Elizabeth and her team are great at what they do! Everyone LOVED their hair and makeup and we got so many compliments. My bridesmaid's makeup were all stunning without being too over the top.

Elizabeth worked with me so well during my two trials and I even trusted her enough to change my mind about my hair for the 3rd time and we did something completely different than the trials on my wedding day which came out fabulous. I got SO many compliments on both my hair and makeup.

I can't say enough about The Updo Guru except that you shouldn't think twice about booking with Elizabeth Jones! It ended up being the best deal (money wise) and I'm so happy I found her! She's the best!! I can't wait to use her again in the future!

The Updo Guru is absolutely the best! Elizabeth made appointments for each girl in my bridal party, which allowed for an easy, simple and structured day. Planning the day was a breeze. She is amazing to work with and listened to every idea that I had for both my hair and make-up. Elizabeth answered every email and was even able to make some adjustments to the schedule to accommodate my bridesmaids.
My hair and make-up stayed in place all night, even after shedding a few tears at the ceremony.

Let me just say, it was a pleasure working with Elizabeth. She is the nicest person and really does accommodate you. Elizabeth works with you to find the perfect look and she is an artist with that airbrush. I had two bridesmaids and a MOB who told her minimal ideas and she came up with a glamarous look, unique to each one of them. She can even help a crazy bride through her insecurities and alter a look to help her calm down and not act so crazy (I will not confirm nor deny this was me). She had unbelievably reasonable prices compared to others and came on time, with all her equipment, ready to work. I would definitely recommend Updo Guru!

Elizabeth was upbeat and professional from the very first conversation that we had. She sent me a contract promptly and she is so organized. During the trial for my makeup, I loved the way that she used her expertise to create the perfect look for my makeup. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early and came prepared with her own chair and supplies. It was so nice to have her as part of the day, doing the makeup for my mother in law, sister, junior bridesmaid, and me- as the bride. Each person's look was tailored around the looks and styles of the gowns we were wearing and she did a wonderful job. Our makeup lasted through the after party. I could not have asked for a better makeup artist!

Elizabeth was AMAZING! I'm extremely picky with my hair and makeup, and honestly, I'm never happy with how it turns out. My wedding experience with Elizabeth was a COMPLETELY different story. First, I'd like to preface this by saying, not only did I have FIFTEEN bridesmaids, but the moms and other people wanted to get their hair and makeup done. Elizabeth rounded up her team (who were awesome), and worked feverishly on everyone for HOURS. The best part, well besides the fact that everyone's hair and makeup came out FLAWLESS, they had a smile on their faces the ENTIRE TIME. I had so many compliments on my hair and makeup. People literally said I looked like I came out of a bridal magazine. Not only will I be working with Elizabeth EVERY time I want to get my hair and makeup done, but for haircuts and color too! I seriously cannot recommend Elizabeth enough! One of the most important things in the wedding process is working with vendors that respond quickly and attentively, and Elizabeth is just the best. Elizabeth is professional, punctual, organized, and amazing. I can't say enough good things about her. I went for a hair and makeup trial with 2 other stylists, and they were disasters. I was so nervous going to the trial with Elizabeth because of these bad experiences, but she calmed me down right away and did EXACTLY what I wanted- which is astounding considering how difficult my thin, fine hair is to work with and the fact that I was set against using extensions. I wanted my make up to look natural and sophisticated so that when people saw me they said "WOW, she's beautiful", not "Wow nice makeup". She achieved exactly that and even helped me choose between air brush or traditional makeup without pressuring me to choose one or the other. My makeup stayed put all night and my hair looked amazing. My mom also has thin hair, and it's frizzy, too. Elizabeth suggested a style that fit my mom perfectly and held beautifully all night. My bridesmaid has thick, long hair and Elizabeth worked extremely well with her hair too. We were all so pleased with her work and how great she was at doing different types of hair. My mom's makeup also looked flawless. She never wears any makeup and Elizabeth gave her a look that was still "her" and didn't overpower her features, but complimented them. You will not regret hiring Elizabeth!

I really can not describe in this small review how amazing Elizabeth is. If you are looking for wedding hair and makeup or even a new hairstylist I would not hesitate one second to go to her. I had to move my wedding up and was planning a lot in a short time and had no idea what to do. I found Elizabeth's card in my heaps of bridal expo cards and emailed her and a few others...emailing her was the best thing I ever did. She worked with me on everything to make sure I was comfortable with options. I went to her for a trial, Brazilian Blowout before the wedding, and on my wedding day she made me feel the most beautiful and gorgeous I've ever felt in my entire life. I got married on an insanely hot July day-my ceremony was earlier in the day-and after dancing and feeling disgusting and sweat dripping down my neck people were STILL coming up to me and telling me how gorgeous I looked. I thought they were crazy, but sure enough when I looked in the mirror the hair and makeup had lasted the entire night! She gave me exactly what I wanted and she did the same for my girls, mom and my now mother-in-law. People who wanted to look natural looked natural and those that wanted drama got it. She has an unrivaled spectrum of hair and makeup styles and skills and really listens to what each person wants. Her team was also amazing. She will not bring someone she doesn't trust to give the same results she would give. They made us all comfortable and were a fun part of our "getting ready process." I can say honestly, and without hesitation, that you will not do better than Elizabeth and her team. She is amazing.

I contacted Elizabeth (The UpDo Guru) less than a week before my wedding (panicked) because I had a terrible trial with another vendor and needed a hair/makeup stylist asap! She called me backed immediately and luckily she had an opening for my wedding day!

My trial was amazing! I brought pictures and was kind of specific on the "look" I wanted for my wedding day. She is TRULY an artist because there was not one thing that I wanted to change.

I felt beautiful on my wedding day! I felt like myself only enhanced... and it didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup! Which was a relief because I didn't want it to LOOK like I had a mask of makeup on in our pictures either (which of course I didn't). One thing that I really appreciated about Elizabeth was that she traveled to the hotel where my family and I were staying. Her flexibility made my day even more special (and relaxing). And my makeup and hair...FLAWLESS (which BTW looked exactly like the trial)! Beautiful, sophisticated, and definitely had staying power (I danced all night and there was not a smudge or fallen curl).

I have recommended her to multiple people since then. Iif there is ever an event where I need a makeup/hair artist, I will definitely be contacting her again.

I knew from the moment when Liz did my trial run for our engagement pics that I was hooked. I can't stop talking about how wonderful of a person she is and what a fantastic job she has done of making me look like a Barbie Princess on our wedding day. She not only has become my permanent hair dresser now, but a good friend as well. We just clicked together as if I knew her a long time. Liz is a sweet, genuine person. I am so happy to have found her. I also want to give her a huge thank you for how beautiful she made my Mom look at our wedding. She can't stop talking about it. So many people were coming up to her and was giving her so many compliments. It not only made me feel really good, but made my Mom feel extra special. I can go on and on about how wonderful Liz is. I just can't wait for a night out or a special celebration to have her do my hair and makeup again. She is very honest and makes you feel so comforable and will answer any question you have. Elizabeth is so nice, and more affordable than my regular salon in my area that also travels. She and her assistant did an amazing job with my hair and makeup, as well as for my bridesmaids and my mom.

Liz was amazing! I have a lot of hair and usually wind up with a mirane after getting it done. She was able to get all of my hair up, exactly how I wanted it, without the pain and it held all day! My make up was perfect - nice and light - and this lasted all day too! Liz was able to accommodate our early schedule and got me and all my girls done and ready to go!

I had a bridal party of 12! No joke, it was crazy big! But Elizabeth and her team were awesome. She made a schedule and we followed it which worked out perfectly. They came right to us at the hotel so we didn't have to go anywhere, good thing too since it poured the entire day! And she called me 3 days before the wedding to check up on me, what a relief! Any bride can tell you the few days before are stressful, its always good when your vendors call you! They made sure everyone was done in time and all my girls looked amazing! She was honest with some of them too, if she didn't think something would work, she said so! But they were thankful for that, they didn't want to look bad! Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, they all looked great! All of them couldn't believe how well their hairstyles matched the pictures they gave her and her team. They replicated them perfectly. She even brought her own chairs and everything. And honestly, I never felt more beautiful, she did exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend Elizabeth, she is good at what she does!

My wedding was on January 20,2013 and it was a day I will remember forever. Thanks to Elizabeth and her amazing vision she made me look the way I was dreaming about since I was 12. She completely understood me and made me look better then I could have ever imagined. I wasn't you typical bride. Elizabeth understood that and took my ideas collaborated them with her own and when I looked in the mirror when she was finished there I stood a modern day pinup, with killer smokey eyes and red lips. To me I was flawless. Thank you Elizabeth for being so talented, sweet, and fun to be around. xo
