The Sonnet House is located on Highway 119 in Leeds, AL. Centered on 18 acres, the back property line is shared with the Little Cahaba Creek. Only 15 miles from Downtown Birmingham, and 10 miles from Highway 280, The Sonnet House offers a very convenient and easy to reach location for guests familiar and unfamiliar with the Birmingham area. We are semi-inclusive meaning we provide in-house catering, florals, and coordination. Unlike other Venues in the Birmingham area, The Sonnet House only hosts one event each day. Since the recent completion of the Outdoor Stage, The Sonnet House can offer multiple outdoor locations for your ceremony. No need to worry about rain, our Indoor Ceremony option is available to all weddings held on site. With only one wedding held each day the indoor option is even available last minute. To see pictures of the Venue visit our website. Our management team will meet with you and your vendors to determine exactly how the facility will be set up for your event. Our open floor plan allows the house to be customized to your exact needs, which makes every event unique. In preparation for your event, we offer the use of our fully furnished Bride's and Groom's room. Both located on the 2nd floor of The Sonnet House, these rooms offer additional privacy for both families and the wedding party while everyone is getting ready. Amazing experience
Even though we don’t live in Alabama, planning from out of state was surprisingly simple because they were so organized and on top of every detail. We weren’t picky about much, and they made the whole process feel effortless.
We’re so grateful for how well they took care of us and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, easy, and stress‑free wedding day.

The day of the wedding- we felt heard. We wanted to party and they allowed us to do just that! They were flexible with our timeline and ensured that we had enough time to dance the night away! As the bride, one of staff members who was assigned to me before walking down the aisle was amazing and calmed me down and let me watch everything from upstairs. They made sire that Ramsey and I were taken care of 100%. They even danced with us!
I cannot say enough about our venue! It is truly a gem and we would go back a million times over! They are the best and we had the best time working with them!

The Perfect Venue for Our Perfect Day
The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and so personalized, and people are still telling us how amazing the food was! They were also super accommodating, letting us set up and stock the bar in advance, which made everything go so smoothly. Honestly, the day couldn’t have gone better, and we owe so much of that to Ellen, Jared, Corey, and the entire vendor team. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day perfect!

I shot a wedding here last year and just can't help but praise the wonderful staff and gorgeous venue! Everyone there is super helpful and kind and the venue itself is simply wonderful for a country affair. The Sonnet House has many photogenic locations for pictures so you can bet that you and your guests will have many wonderful memories to look back on when you get your photos. On a personal note one of the photos I took is in my main portfolio and will more than likely be there for years to come! It'll be really hard to top that one :)
Having worked many weddings over the years at the Sonnet House I can tell you with certainty that these folks are the best!! They are true professionals and take their task to heart. The home is beautiful as is the grounds. They are well prepared, rain or shine, to make your day perfect. The wonderful landscaped grounds are always well groomed with tons of perfect backdrops for pictures to capture your special day. You owe it to yourself and your guest to tour this venue and meet the wonderful staff prior deciding on your venue.
