The Sixpence is a wedding venue located in Whitestown, Indiana. This stunning property takes its name from the popular rhyme in folklore, detailing the traditional essentials you need for your special day. You can enjoy a suitably whimsical experience here, enjoying complete control of the artistic direction your celebration can take.
Facilities and Capacity
The Sixpence does not come up short when it comes to both indoor and outdoor facilities. The Barn is 8,000 sq. ft, and features not only a ceremony/reception hall, but also 2 private getting ready suites, ADA-compliant bathrooms, a large, beautiful bar, and a full caterer's prep kitchen. This space is climate controlled with HVAC and heated floors. Up to 300 guests can be comfortably hosted in The Barn. The west wall of the interior space has been specifically designed for DJs and bands to have easy access to all power they may need.
Couples can choose from 3 outdoor ceremony spaces, all of which accomodate 300 guests and are wired for power. The outdoor concrete ceremony space features a stained aisle and a small gazebo for the couple and officiant to stand. The lawn ceremony space features a large permanent wooden arch. The wooded ceremony space, located in a clearing of the woods and featuring permanent oak bench pews and a wooden ceremony arch overlooking the west fields, is available as an embellishment offering.
Beyond The Barn and it's adjacent ceremony spaces, The Sixpence also features The Workshop, a getting ready/hangout space in a renovated garage, featuring a full bar, pool table, darts, multiple TVs, a full bathroom, and a car lift. The Workshop is available as an a la carte rental for Single Day Packages, and included in Full Weekend Packages.
The Homestead at The Sixpence is an 1851 renovated farmhouse which sleeps up to 10 guests and is available for overnight rentals the night prior to guests' events. Featuring multiple charming bedrooms, a roomy living area, updated kitchen, and large back deck with patio, The Homestead is ideal for wedding party or out of town family to stay nearby before the wedding day. The Homestead is available as an a la carte rental for Single Day Packages, and included in Full Weekend Packages.
The Single Day Package at The Sixpence includes everything you need to celebrate your special day in a way that's unique, effortless, and true to you. The following are included in Single Day Rentals:
- Exclusive access to indoor and outdoor ceremony sites, as well as The Barn and all of its amenities
- White cushioned ceremony chairs for up to 300 guests
- Crossback reception chairs and 60" round tables for up to 300 guests
- Featured Farmhouse head tables for wedding party
- Misc. tables for vendors/gifts/etc.
- 2 60-minute planning meetings with your venue manager
- Setup and dissassembly of tables and chairs
- Bar staff and venue managers throughout the day of your event
The Sixpence has an open vendor policy in order for you to customize your day to your needs and desires. They also create custom bar packages for each and every couple as well as offering soda and tea packages. The Sixpence offers a beautiful blank canvas for celebration. Whether you plan to create an extensive and elaborate production to celebrate saying "I do," or if you just want to keep it simple, The Sixpence is prepared to serve you and help you host. From 300 guest ceremonies, to intimate 20 guest gatherings, The Sixpence space has stunning and memorable moments for each couple they celebrate.

Luxury from Start to Finish!
The Sixpence not only was our Wedding Venue, it was our dream come true from the very moment we walked in the door. It was so easy to envision ourselves getting married in such a stunning place - every detail mattered, down to the lights, the colors and the overall aesthetic.
The team is full of warm, professional and knowledgable people who are so quick to go above and beyond all your wishes. We were amazed at how important and special we felt - as if we were the only couple getting married here and our story, details, and vision were all that mattered.
From the start of our wedding day, someone was constantly available to assist and help execute any tasks. Kristin and Shelby both stepped in to help our processional, guide guests to their seats, and even assisted in bussing our tables, and pouring water when our caterer was lacking in that aspect. This team does not hesitate - they do what needs to be done without a complaint or worry in the world. This is what you want for your day - and I assure you, this is what you will get.
