This venue speaks modern luxury from the moment you walk in the door. The chandeliers, the picture perfect details, and the phenomenal staff are just the beginning of everything you will experience along your wedding journey.
The Sixpence not only was our Wedding Venue, it was our dream come true from the very moment we walked in the door. It was so easy to envision ourselves getting married in such a stunning place - every detail mattered, down to the lights, the colors and the overall aesthetic.
The team is full of warm, professional and knowledgable people who are so quick to go above and beyond all your wishes. We were amazed at how important and special we felt - as if we were the only couple getting married here and our story, details, and vision were all that mattered.
From the start of our wedding day, someone was constantly available to assist and help execute any tasks. Kristin and Shelby both stepped in to help our processional, guide guests to their seats, and even assisted in bussing our tables, and pouring water when our caterer was lacking in that aspect. This team does not hesitate - they do what needs to be done without a complaint or worry in the world. This is what you want for your day - and I assure you, this is what you will get.

The Sixpence was the wedding venue of our dreams! It was exactly what we were looking for to have a simple, classy wedding day. The beautiful drapery, gorgeous and spacious bridal suite, fun LED bar, rolling green landscape and classic rustic barn doors - all created the best environment for our wedding reception. We ended up having rain on our wedding day, and this was the perfect venue to adjust and be flexible! We closed the doors when it was raining and opened them up for people to use the patio space once it passed (and we all got hot from dancing!). We have received so many compliments on how incredible the bartenders were! They were fun, responsive and created any drink that was asked of them, consistently going above and beyond. The Sixpence staff provided wonderful support and assistance in the process leading up to the wedding and throughout the day. The online seating chart allowed us to move tables around and configure it to our preferences. They were responsive to our questions and worked with us for any thoughts/ideas to ensure they could happen seemlessly. Thank you for hosting our beautiful wedding day! -

Our Dream Day and Venue
The Sixpence was the BEST place to host our dream wedding! My (now) husband and I only toured one wedding venue, as we immediately knew after touring the Sixpence that the facility had everything we could want. We originally worked with Tamme, who was patient, helpful, and kind during the booking process. After booking our dream date, we were surprised with the sweetest welcome box that included a real-life Sixpence coin (that I wore in my shoe on our wedding day)! We worked with the best, most supportive team leading up to our wedding. Any questions or requests we had were always met with a timely, kind, helpful response. We always had trust in our team. Our two planning meetings were so helpful and reassuring, as the team made sure our dream day would come alive. I had no doubts leading up to our wedding day that if something went wrong, I wouldn't even know it and the team would take care of it for me! The day of our wedding was an absolute dream. We utilized all the spaces on the property that we could including the Homestead and Workshop for our wedding party to utilize, the garden (our favorite!!) for a private vow reading and portraits, the Wooded space for our ceremony, and the barn for our reception and cocktail hour. It was great to utilize the venue to it's fullest extent. The bridal suite was the perfect area to get away from the chaos of the morning. The groomsmen had the best time playing pool and darts before our wedding. Even as we had weather changes RIGHT before our ceremony began, the Sixpence team took the initiative to make everything work according to plan. We had a perfect ceremony, reception, and day. We cannot say enough praise about the Sixpence and the team. Thank you for making our dream day a reality. Invest in your venue as it makes ALL the difference- you will be so glad you did! The venue team is amazing and very thorough with making sure you have everything covered! Their bar packages are unlike any other venue and so easy to work with! This venue was designed to make your photos look amazing. Such a great atmosphere for your big day! Could not recommend this enough. All of our guests had such an amazing time here! -

The Sixpence was beyond perfect and a dream come true! Everything was beautiful and flowed seamlessly, from the girls’ sleepover in The Homestead to the guys playing pool in The Workshop. It was flawless in every way, and I recommend this venue to anyone looking for their dream wedding! -

Fantastic experience!
We’ll always be thankful our daughter and her husband selected The Sixpence as their wedding venue. They are true pros and have designed several spaces to accommodate so many preferences and needs. We set out to find a lovely venue that could accommodate our 200 guest wedding for both an indoor and outdoor ceremony depending on weather. Their communication is efficient, transparent and professional. They have helpful staff and the bar package is flexible and transparent as well, eliminating guessing and stress. A small detail that brought additional joy - when we arrived day of wedding, there was music playing in the barn, setting the stage for a wonderful day to unfold. It’s the small and large details that make all the difference, and The Sixpence delivered 100%! -

January wedding at The Sixpence
My husband and I had an incredible experience hosting our wedding at The Sixpence on 1/4/25.
In the year leading up to the wedding, that staff was wonderful, especially Tamme! We were able to tour the venue multiple times prior to booking and after to share it with all of our family. The meetings with the venue leading up to the day were so valuable for the day of coordinator to get a sense of the space and know what to expect from the venue. On the weekend of the wedding, the bridal party stayed at The Homestead the night before which was the perfect way to start our weekend and allowed for us to get started on hair and makeup prior to getting access to the barn. The bridal suite in the barn is the perfect place to get ready and enjoy your morning. The stylists also LOVE all the space and natural light which makes getting ready a breeze. The boys spent the day in the workshop which they all loved, they built a fire, played pool, and had a darts tournament. The inside of the venue allowed for a stunning backdrop for most of our photos since it was so cold! Once the party got started the guest raved about the bar! Both bartenders were so talented and the drinks were delicious. We had an excellent experience from start to finish with The Sixpence and would recommend them to any bride!
The team was also so supportive of our off site ceremony which was important to both of us since we are Catholic, many other venues were not understanding. They have beautiful space to have your ceremony onsite if that’s your preference!

Absolutely obsessed with this place!
My husband and I got married at the sixpence in July of 2024. It was an absolute dream! My favorite thing about hosting at the sixpence is the unparalleled hospitality. Each member of the sixpence team was willing to help at any point during my special day. To add, the sixpence adds a level of luxury to weddings that is simply iconic. I will forever be obsessed with the quality of the venue and all that it entails.The Sixpence's reply:

The Sixpence was everything we dreamed of and more! We had an all black and white wedding, and The Sixpence provided the perfect canvas! Kristin and the rest of The Sixpence staff were excellent in their communication leading up to our big day, as well as the day of. Of course the venue itself is beautiful, but the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and every little detail is thought through and organized. We can't recommend The Sixpence enough! -

Most stunning venue ever created
The Sixpence is the most beautiful, functional, and efficient venue out there. As a fellow wedding vendor no venue compares to the Sixpence. It was so thoughtfully and intentional designed from the little details of a hook to hang the wedding dress in their massive bridal suite to the entire reception hall facing the west so you can see the sunset in the evenings. Their team was nothing but the best and very clear in their communication and willing to help however they could. Will forever be promoting this venue as the most perfect venue ever. -

Couldn’t recommend The Sixpence enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Shelby designed this venue with such an incredible eye and did not miss a detail. The staff is professional, kind, & so wonderful. Kristin helped us during our venue meetings and was efficient, thorough, and made sure all questions were answered. Tamme & Grace were wonderful help on the day of - I didn’t have a worry in the world. My photographer loved the black and white aesthetic to have as a starting point for all of the photos and the lighting in the venue and on the property in insane!! I received so many compliments from guests on the beauty of the venue. Love love love!!!! -

The Sixpence: A Wedding Dream Come True
My (now) husband and I chose to have our September wedding at the Sixpence and it was the best decision we could have made. We live downtown Chicago and were looking at venues near and far - from Petoskey, MI to Nashville, TN. Our search was quickly halted after visiting the Sixpence and meeting Shelby, her father, and the Sixpence team. They were so welcoming and absolutely blew us away. They made the planning process seamless and truly listened to the visions we had for our big day, including allowing us to bring in our own custom beer, 10 person band, and a local mixologist to create two custom craft cocktails - it was truly a dream come true. The venue itself has everything you could ask for. The on-site bridal and grooms suites allowed our special day to feel even longer. We cannot thank Shelby and her team enough for making our wedding everything we had hoped for and more. -

For those unfamiliar with The Sixpence story, this venue was intentionally built from the ground up by professionals with prior, extensive experience within the wedding industry. This detail is key in recognizing the intentionally throughout the entire space, all the way from the more prominent, thoughtfully designed spaces to the behind the scenes details, such as their fully equipped catering kitchen. Having a thoughtfully designed space added to the ease and comfort of our entire day, of the experience of our guests, and of our many vendors entering into and working within this space. Beyond the outward beauty and intentionally of this building, is the even deeper feeling of support and professionalism from all Sixpence staff. From our booked tour all the way to the months after our wedding, the team members at The Sixpence have each worked with the upmost professionalism to not only serve our needs, but to truly make us feel like their most treasured guests. I cannot thank this team enough for the role that they played in our dream wedding, and will forever recommend future couples to their care.

As soon as you walk through the doors at the Sixpence you are greeted with an aesthetic dream. From the beautiful chandeliers, to the color changing bar top, to the beautiful big windows that provide amazing natural light. The Sixpence team is one of a kind they truly made our dream wedding a reality and no detail was spared. My husband and I got married on December 08,2023 and it was AMAZING in so many ways. The bridal suite was perfect and large enough for me and my 9 bridesmaids, mom, grandma and future mother in law to get ready for the day. It has amazing natural lighting that is BEAUTIFUL for getting ready photos!! We also utilized the workshop where my husband and his 7 groomsmen, dad, future father in law and my nephews got ready and hung out for the day! In the workshop they played pool, darts and had PLENTY of space to hang out and have some fun the morning of!! With it being in the winter we did a full room flip, having our ceremony and reception in the same space and the Sixpence team executed the flip SEAMLESSLY AND EFFICIENT!!! I can not sing their praises enough!! The team and their list of preferred vendors were truly amazing! They were so attentive to every detail and so helpful from the minute we decided to book with them!! Again I can not say thank you enough to the Sixpence and their team! -

An aesthetic dream! 😍
The BEST venue! The Sixpence is a dream, we loved our day! Everything from mimosas for the bridesmaids in the morning or customizing the color of the bar countertop- everything was truly personal as it is a perfect blank canvas to make your own! This wedding venue is aesthetic perfection and was exactly what we were looking for to have a bright, airy, and love filled day. Although it was a 2 hour drive for our guests, they were all stunned by how pretty the venue was and loved the atmosphere! The Sixpence team is amazing + we also loved the vendors they had on their preferred vendor list. The Sixpence was 10/10 to work with every step of the way!! We got married at the Sixpence in May, and it was the most perfect day! The owner, Shelby, is incredibly talented, kind, organized, and she knows the wedding industry like the back of her hand. Her entire team is top tier!! In addition to the obviously beautiful ceremony and reception spaces, the bridal getting ready area is beautiful, and the natural lighting makes for the best photos!! We’ve also gotten TONS of compliments from the groomsmen on the men’s barn area! So fun and a step ahead of every other venue in the area. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bar staff and their mixologist that helped us choose our signature drinks. They even ordered a special liquor from Italy that I wanted! They really do everything they can to make your day magical! The Sixpence is a classic, timeliness venue that is constantly adding new elements to stay ahead of the trends, and I cannot recommend them enough!!! TOTALLY worth the investment!! -

The Sixpence Experience
The Sixpence was a dream. We were one of the first couples to book and got to watch the venue be built from the ground up. Shelby and the Sixpence team made sure our special day ran seamless. There are so many options and customization unlike anywhere else we’ve seen and been when we were searching for a wedding venue. From the bridal suite, bar, and the workshop…it was amazing. I really appreciated the communication and always quickly responded for any questions we had. I would highly recommend. Truly the wedding venue of our dreams. -

Incredible!
From the tour to our big day, everyone was so kind and professional and worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect. We booked while the venue was still under construction because we fell in love with the people and the vision. Shelby is such a kind human and her staff is too notch! If you’re looking for a beautiful venue that has so much to offer in one place, The Sixpence is it. Right after I got engaged, the first venue I toured (& immediately booked shortly after) was The Sixpence. The space was purposefully built with a photographer’s lens in mind, which makes it that much more unique. We booked our venue when they were still building, but it was the best decision. Shelby and her team are passionate about helping make your day the best it can be & are there to answer any questions you have. The amount of people the space can accommodate with the beautiful open space & large parking lot was a huge bonus for us. From getting ready in the airy bridal suite to partying on the dance floor later that night, the Sixpence team made every transition so smooth. I can’t speak highly enough about this place, the people, and the experience you could have there too. The Sixpence, their team, and Shelby (& her photography/videography business Amavi - who we also used & loved) will always have a special place in my heart! -

Amazing wedding venue!
I just wanted to share how wonderful The Sixpence experience was for our daughter’s wedding. We were thrilled when we found an available date in October for our daughter’s wedding. This new facility has everything a bride could possibly want. It boasts a beautiful all white barn with separate spaces for the bridal party to get ready for the big day. The bridal suite is breathtaking with stunning floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views of the country landscape. The room for the groomsmen is very comfortable and designed with the men in mind. The large interior space is both elegant and grand at the same time. From the beautiful beans to the stunning chandeliers, this event center speaks for itself. Very few decorations are needed here…the space stands well on its own. We chose to have an indoor wedding and reception, and the few minutes it took to turn over the room was handled efficiently by The Sixpence staff. The bar is a sophisticated piece of art…and the staff made us all feel at home. We were able to bring in our own DJ and had one of our favorite restaurants cater the wedding. Since we had beautiful weather that day, we were able to get lots of outdoor pictures. This countryside property boasts lots of trees, tons of green grass, and a quaint creek running next to the woods. They also have two gorgeous outdoor spots for weddings as well. It was difficult to choose! We also rented the Workshop which is an incredible space for men to hang out and relax during the day. It includes a pool table, lounge area, large screen TV, and lots of comfortable seating. I would highly recommend The Sixpence for anyone’s wedding or special event. It is owned by a wonderful family and it is just AWESOME!!The Sixpence's reply:

Amazing Wedding Venue!
I had my wedding at The Sixpence in October of this past year. From the stunning white barn to the gorgeous country setting, I could not have dreamed of a more beautiful venue. I had the ceremony and reception inside, and the quick turnover in the space by the Sixpence staff was quite impressive! There are also multiple outdoor locations that you can use for your ceremony that are beautiful as well. The family that owns the Sixpence is so wonderful to work with. They take the time to make sure you have everything you need to make your special day amazing. There is a bridal suite upstairs in the barn and it is absolutely breathtaking. The huge windows overlook the beautiful country and let in so much natural light. We also rented The Workshop, which was an amazing area for the guys to hangout during the day. It has a pool table, big screen TV, lounge area, darts, and more. My husband really enjoyed getting to have this area to relax with his groomsmen away from the craziness before the ceremony! Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone for weddings or other special events. It is truly a space you and your guests will never forget!The Sixpence's reply:

A literal pinterest wedding
My husband and I originally looked at The Sixpence when it was nothing but a gravel pit.. and now to see the grand venue it’s become! We put our faith in Shelby at our tour because she had such a beautiful vision and was clearly very passionate about making our day special for us as a couple.. The Sixpence was BEYOND what we’ve ever dreamed of for our wedding day. Shelby, her dad, and all her team members were friendly and so helpful with every special request or task we asked of them! Our day was so magical and if I could recommend it to everyone to get married there I would!
