The Reeds at Shelter Haven
The entire weekend was at The Reeds and we couldn't have been happier. Katie, our event organizer was outstanding. The servers were very cordial and helpful for the before dinner, wedding, after party and breakfast. We were thrilled and grateful for George, the valet; Matt, the banquet captain; and the main server, Lilly. The wedding was absolutely magical and the suites were lovely.

Beautiful Spring Wedding
We fell in love with The Reeds after one visit and knew that was where we wanted to get married. When COVID hit and we had to reschedule, Krista was more than helpful in the entire process. Once we got closer to our date we worked with Liz and she was beyond amazing. We had gorgeous weather on our wedding day and the ballroom was even more gorgeous once it was al set up and covered in our flowers. All of our guests were blown away by the water views and entire set up. Loved every minute of our day!

The best "backup" plan of all time
The Reeds was not our original venue, but we could not be happier that we were forced to change locations. We also got so lucky that it was available on our date. We were originally supposed to get married in Philadelphia and expected a guest list of around 200-220. When it didn't seem like our wedding would happen as is and like we'd have a smaller count, we started to look for other options. The Reeds was truly meant to be for us. Guests were raving about the location all night and after the event and we just can't believe how well it worked out. Our day was so beautiful. The Reeds also was very accommodating going into the event in terms of our guest list. We decided to just invite everyone and to see where we net out and they were willing to make it work. We ended up with 145 people and 150 were allowed inside in NJ at the time. I will say that that number felt perfect for the space and that I don't think our original number would have been good there. We even had 4 tables outside on the veranda (to make people feel comfortable with COVID) and this was helpful in terms of space for the dance floor. They also had special touches for the weekend like champagne brought to our room and a chocolate cake for my Dad in his room (he wanted chocolate cake at the tasting and we decided on something else). We stayed in the Sky Suite which was amazing to get ready in and ended up having people in our room after the wedding with bars and such having COVID limitations. It was the best day of our lives and we are so glad that we were able to have it at The Reeds.

The Best Wedding Venue in South Jersey
I cannot say enough nice things about The Reeds. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and with everything going on we were ready to go to city hall and just get married. Someone told us to reach out to The Reeds, and they saved the day. We planned our wedding in two short months and it turned out absolutely perfect. Leslie and Liz answered all of our questions and were super accomdating and understanding under all of the crazy guidelines, restrictions and pressure we were under. They had indoor, outdoor , small wedding, big wedding, every option you could imagine. The food was phenomenal, service was amazing and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. I believe everything happens for a reason and we were defintely meant to get married at The Reeds. Leslie, Liz and staff thank you for making our big day so perfect and special. We can't wait to go back.

Most amazing, perfect venue
The Reeds is the most amazing venue!! From the staff, the food, to the gorgeous bay views- everything was perfect! Liz and Leslie were outstanding and very responsive. They worked with us in making sure our day was very special and perfect even during these difficult COVID times where everything is changing. We had our wedding under a tent on the bay front patio and it was beyond beautiful. Thank you for making my day everything we could have dreamed of! It was perfect!!

Perfection!
Do not hesitate for one second in booking The Reeds. We were married on 11/9/19 and our day was an absolute dream. I am an event planner by trade and to say I had very high expectations is a gross understatement. I could not have been more pleased with our wedding coordinator Liz. Every detail was executed perfectly. Liz had everything (and everyONE) handled. I didn't have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy my day. She anticipated our every need and was always a few feet away whenever we needed her. Our guests raved about the beauty of the venue but also the service and the delicious food (which is often hard to find in a banquet setting). Our guests loved the hotel accommodations and adored cute little Stone Harbor. We also booked the Crew Room at the Pizza Pub for our after-party which I'd highly recommend. If you're looking for a wedding venue that will exceed your (high) expectations, look no further than The Reeds.

awesome weekend
The Reeds….where do I begin? This venue is spectacular. Liz, Vanessa, Leah, Krista, and everyone else on the Reeds team was absolutely fantastic —professional in every way. My husband and I are big foodies, and chose the Reeds for exactly that reason. We instantly fell in love with the incredible food and the breathtaking bay views. From day 1, the team starts to lay out all of your details, pricing, timelines, and continues to guide you up to the big day. Liz was excellent with her communication, even answering emails in between events at the Reeds on weekends to help us get questions answered and details sorted out. The day of was unreal….we snuck into our reception early before cocktail hour, and that’s the moment you just take a deep breath realize the whole night is going to be perfect. And it was! I never felt stressed from 5pm through our after party in the Crew room.
We stayed in our complimentary room that night and were greeted with champagne, a blanket inscribed with our last initial, and a beautiful balcony. The rooms are spotless and gorgeous. Whatever you need, they will do their absolute best to accommodate you. We are so thankful we found the Reeds at Shelter Haven and will never forget our wedding weekend!!!
