The Pollen Mill came recommended to us after our original florist moved out of state and could no longer do our rehearsal dinner. We hit it off with Kim on our first call. She knew our original florist and worked directly with her to transfer over our deposit. We shared some photos of our wedding day florals and explained the direction that we wanted to go in for the rehearsal dinner. We wanted it to build to our wedding day and lead into our color palette. Kim totally got what we were going for and designed florals that were so beautiful and provided fun pops of color. We had a variety of centerpieces, satellite arrangements and place setting accents. Kim utilizes sustainable practices at The Pollen Mill which we loved learning about. Additionally, we were able to utilize the same florals at our farewell brunch on Sunday and they looked just as good as they did on Friday. Many guests took them home and continued to enjoy them for the following week. Due to COVID, we know it has been a tough time sourcing florals, which makes what Kim produced that much more impressive. It was a pleasure working with Kim and we highly recommend her for your next event.

If you’re looking for a florist for your wedding, look no further because Kim from The Pollen Mill is absolutely the best! I inquired with different florists, but there was no one that connected with me the way Kim did! I’m not very good with explaining my ideas, but she seemed to know exactly what I wanted and was able to accurately describe what I was looking for during our phone consultation. She is confident with her work and I knew I could trust her. I changed what I wanted several times and I had to postpone my wedding twice due to COVID. However, through it all she was super patient, responsive, gracious, understanding, and always accommodating to making everything work out. After every phone conversation with her, I felt at ease and confident with working with her. I changed vessel choices and alter piece pedestals and she worked with me in making those choices. She provided different vessel options, offered to help look for different pedestal options, and was honest with what she thought would work and not work. On the day of the wedding, I, all my family, and friends were blown away with everything she created. They were everything I wanted and more. Everything was absolutely beautiful and lush. I was astonished by how many different variation of flowers, foliage, and vines she used for the different pieces yet still made it look all cohesive and kept to the aesthetic I wanted. As I was getting my makeup done, through the window, I saw her setting up the altar pieces on pedestals. She could have easily just placed the pieces on the pedestals and left, but I saw her move, align, and position the pieces on the end of the aisle multiple times until they were perfect. You can tell she takes great pride in her work and it really shows in her designs and arrangements. I also followed her on social media and I love everything she stands for. She is kind, but not afraid to advocate for what she believes in and doesn’t stay silent on topics I could see other small businesses shy away from. Aside from being a great artist, absolute professional, and excellent florist, I could tell she is honest, genuine, and a great soul. Her business adheres to many sustainable practices and she does what she can to remain environmentally conscious. I cannot say enough great things!

Kim's incredible work was an absolute highlight of our wedding! In addition to her STUNNING, intricate and extensive work on our wedding arch, table centerpieces, bridal party flowers & venue decor, Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was prompt in replying, flexible, detail-oriented and genuinely invested in the specialness of our day. After spending months and months planning our dream outdoor ceremony, the weather reports predicted a 90% chance of thunderstorms and lightning the night before. Kim's patience, kindness, and commitment to doing the most and best she could in this situation is what made our wedding complete-- she remained on standby for set-up to wait out a probable storm and when it never came to fruition, she worked her heart out to assemble THE most beautiful and breathtaking arch, outdoors, as we had hope and prayed we would be able to do. She went above and beyond, staying on-site all day and all night and made the details of the wedding just perfect. Cannot recommend a vendor or person more than Kim and The Pollen Mill!

Kim and her team at The Pollen Mill are amazing!! They are SO talented and provide the most unique, beautiful arrangements! I was planning my wedding from across the country and Kim was a breeze to work with. I sent her pictures of my bridesmaid's dresses (which were all different colors/patterns) along with the vision we were going for and she designed floral arrangements and bouquets that tied everything together PERFECTLY! I highly recommend you hire her, you'll be blown away by the beauty of what she can design!

I loved working with Kim. She does amazing work and was able to create exactly what I wanted from just asking question and looking at a few pictures. She created a completely unique bouquet using the colors of my wedding and the bouquets looked amazing. Kim was flexible with changes and quick to respond back to any questions and with any updated invoices after requesting changes. I wanted special boutonnieres made with shotgun shells and she did an amazing job with them as well as the flower crowns I wanted. Everything came out perfectly and was packaged easily for me to pick up and transport to my house as well as the venue.

We were looking at The Pollen Mill and another equally priced florist here in Sacramento for our wedding. The reason we went with The Pollen Mill is because of Kim's attention to detail from the very beginning. She called me to get all of the specifics and vision I was hoping for, down to the color of the ribbon on the boutonnieres, so she could get us as accurate of a quote possible. It was amazing. Throughout the planning process, she was always quick to answer my million questions and accommodate any changes I threw her way. The day of, I cried when she brought in all of the bouquets because they were all so GORGEOUS and beyond anything I could have imagined! I wanted to stray from the pale flowers/greenery trend and go with bright colors and boy did she deliver! All of the table arrangements and bouquets included all sorts of textures and a variety of flowers and we are still receiving compliments on them. Can't recommend Kim and The Pollen Mill enough.

Kim was able to get a very good sense of the flower aesthetics I was going for just through my random Pinterest board and during our first phone introduction! When it comes to planning a wedding, the thing you don't plan for is that you have all these ideas of what you would like your wedding to be like, but you have no idea how things will really look or turn out until your actual wedding day! If that makes you stressed out, you do not have to worry about that with Kim and her team! Kim was very responsive via email, and she was great at always updating the invoice with any changes I discussed with her, so I was always in the loop with the budget. When I saw my bouquet for the first time on the actual wedding day, it absolutely blew me away! It was what I wanted and so much more. I had shown Kim a picture of a wild un-structured bouquet of white flowers with green-ish gray herbs and accent greenery. Kim was able to re-create the bouquet with an added twist that made it so much more special, and wrapped it with a white & gray silk ribbons. The center pieces were boxes of herbs with small white flower accents mixed with beautiful greenish gray garlands with white flower accents. This was all exactly the look I was going for (I hope you get the theme- green, gray, and white)! And lastly, my husband built a bare teepee made of wooden poles he hand sanded and waxed for our ceremony "arch", and Kim was able to create the perfect green garland to finish it off. I really had no idea how the teepee was going to turn out until the wedding day, but it was one of the highlights of the event, so my husband and Kim definitely did something right :) Everything was perfect and I really could not have asked for anything more! Our wedding venue, the Inn at Park Winters, is already so beautiful with the luscious green landscape, but Kim really made the place so much more special and romantic with her floral designs.

Kim was easily reachable the entire planning process. She responded very quickly and was full of knowledge and advice. The flowers were absolutely incredible. I've never seen such an amazing mix of flowers in a bouquet. Everything was so fresh and she tied them so perfectly. The boutonnieres stood the test of movement and heat and still looked good. She also provided garlands of leaves for mantels and on staircases and they really made the ceremony and reception sights looks so much prettier and softer. I cannot say enough about her professionalism and high quality of choosing flowers and reassurance by bringing the flowers early enough so we didn't even have to think about it. Great job, Kim!

Kim is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is so passionate about what she does and if you look at examples of her work, it definitely shows! When we first spoke on the phone, I immediately had a great impression. We spent an hour discussing what my vision was for flowers and details about the wedding. I received so many compliments on our bouquets at the wedding and still continue to receive compliments from the wedding photos. Kim even incorporated flowers in our bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages that were grown right on our venue site, how cool is that!? She exceeded my expectations and I am SO happy we had the honor of working with her!

Kim and her team did such an AMAZING job for our wedding! Her communication was excellent all the way up to the wedding, even though I was a scatterbrained bride with a million things on my mind.

She made me: a (gorgeous) flower crown, my bouquet along with all of my bridesmaids', and the boutonnieres for the men. The day of, she delivered them to me personally in vases and checked in with me before leaving so that I knew everything was taken care of.

For my bouquet, I wanted something that was whimsical, cascading, and not too traditional, and she definitely delivered. It was so beautiful and my flower crown literally brought everything together and made my whole look complete. I couldn't have been happier with her work.
