About

Hi. My name is Thomas Billings. I am a wedding officiant, Certified Gottman Educator, and Certified Birkman Professional.

Emotional intelligence is my expertise, and I am fascinated with the relational dynamics that make up healthy couples, parents, and families. I help people work with themselves and others, in their unique context.

You deserve a completely personalized, meaningful, and memorable ceremony for you as a unique couple.

My flat fee of $849 per wedding includes the rehearsal.

I'm passionate about weddings because I'm a minister at heart. I have a heart for ministering to people in their big and small life moments. I've done over a hundred weddings and got started in the wedding business because I began my career working for churches as a pastor and minister. Since then, I've become a Business Coach. Some of the coaching methods and behavioral assessments I've become an expert in are used by companies like Google, MailChimp, Chevron, and others, and are also highly applicable to couples. That's what makes my wedding business unique.

Thomas was absolutely great and completely flexible. He helped us with every question and when I had weird requests like "we're going to play rock, paper, scissors to see who goes first on our personal vows" (we were both nervous), "can we do a selfie at the end" or "can I have my guests sign my wedding certificate", he answered them all. We were able to use his script and completely personalize it to our style. My husband stated after we decided to pursue Thomas for our ceremony that he would never pose and kiss him...

Thomas only asked once in front of our photographer and my husband did not hesitate. Thomas is really great!! And we both highly recommend him.

I am SO happy my husband found Thomas to officiant our wedding. He did a truly fantastic job during our ceremony, and was the perfect combination of calming, light-hearted, sincere and professional.
We also took premarital counseling through Thomas before hand, which I would highly recommend!
I definitely will be recommended Thomas to family and friends in the future!

Thomas did a perfect job officiating our wedding ceremony. My HUSBAND :) and I both knew only after a minute after meeting Thomas that we would want him to officiate our vows. He eludes a sincerity and that transfers onto his speaking which made our ceremony very honest and sincere. He also was able to lighten our nerves during the ceremony which we appreciated. Out guests enjoyed the ceremony as well; they chuckled here and there, which was awesome and made it really fun and enjoyable for my husband and I to enjoy our ceremony!! We both highly recommend his professional services.

We are so grateful that we met Thomas through one of our friends. Thomas is awesome!!!
He is very down to earth and made us feel so comfortable as soon as we met. We set up some marriage counseling sessions with Thomas before our wedding, and it helped us communicate better and love each other even more than we thought was possible! He gave us exercises to use to strengthen our relationship for many years to come, and we cannot thank him enough for all that he did for us! My husband and I loved having Thomas, and now friend, marrying us. He is a super fun guy, and I hope yall love him as much as we do.

Thomas was very easy to work with. His schedule was flexible when it comes to meeting up to discuss ceremony wording and logistics. He patiently guided us through the process to make our wedding ceremony unique and reflective of our personalities. He even worked with us on our personal wedding vows, and after many revisions, the final product was so much better than what we started with. He was also very helpful during the rehearsal, providing some guidance on how to keep from fainting, how to deal with nervousness, etc. We received a lot of compliments from guests on our officiant selection. We originally chose Thomas as our officiant because we liked the personality and values that he portrayed on his website. All of that positivity and great energy came through at the wedding! We look forward to using him again, down the road, whenever we have our vows renewed!

We weren't really sure what we were looking for when we started shopping for wedding officiants, but when we found Thomas, we knew we would be happy with him! He did a great job with our wedding ceremony. He helped us come up with the ceremony script that worked for us. Most importantly, he was calm and reassuring throughout the ceremony, which made us comfortable. We recommend him with great enthusiasm!

Thomas Billings is amazing. You are likely looking for an officiant, but with Thomas, not only did he make our wedding ceremony meaningful and lovely, but I truly believe that he gave us the gift of a healthy start to our marriage. He gave us the tools to communicate and keep our relationship strong while also helping us work through personal issues that would affect our marriage in the long run. My husband and I feel closer and more prepared for our journey ahead because of Thomas. When we feel that we are "off" we inevitably return to the practices and insights that Thomas provided. The ceremony is important, but the marriage is more so and I think he really gave us a leg up for the road ahead.

Bonus! I even showed my own parents a few of his exercises and they have even said that it brought them closer as well.

With only a month before the wedding our Pastor found out he could not make our wedding, leaving us to find Thomas just in time! The saying, "Every time a door closes, another one opens," could not be more true than in this instance. Thomas was amazingly flexible with our short time frame and our unique style. He helped ease our nerves and gave us some of the best advise before the ceremony. I would definitely recommend a hundred times over!

We happened to find Thomas while searching for someone to perform our ceremony at the Butterfly Center at HMNS. We could not be more pleased with Thomas! He is very kind, patient and accommodated our requests with enthusiasm. He provided a template which helped us create the perfect vows. Thomas has a great voice and was very personable to everyone at our event. If he is available, don't think twice, just book with him!

Thomas did such an amazing job with officiating our wedding! We had a very last minute wedding and had to make some quick decisions. The first time we talked to Thomas, he made us feel at ease and comfortable by being so personable and engaging with our opinions. He wanted us to know that this is "our wedding" and our wedding should show our personalities. He gave us a document for the wedding and helped us customize it to our taste. We wanted to write vows to our kids and Thomas helped us with ideas on how to incorporate them. He was a wealth of knowledge! The day of the wedding, Thomas was available early which put our wedding day jitters to rest. Not to mention the wedding was on a family ranch which was 140 miles out of Houston. He came prepared for any missteps the wedding may have had. We would recommended Thomas to anyone wanting the prefect wedding!
