DH & I go to the Library Bar on an average of twice a week for happy hours and lunches. We love the atmosphere, and the owner and staff are really nice and recognize us, so we thought of it first when we were planning our engagement party/co-ed shower/pre-wedding reception for people who couldn't make the DW. They're normally closed on Sunday, so we asked about opening up for a brunch time slot.

Stephani, the owner, was super excited to work with us--she told us she felt honored that we wanted to have the party there. She worked with us to figure out catering options--since they normally just do veggie/fruit and chip platters, we bought a veggie tray and a fruit tray from her, along with our champagne (she special ordered our favorite, Yellowglen Pink, and we got a case discount--she also knocked off $20 since we provided our own plastic flutes), and she let us bring in some pastries and meat/cheese trays of our own.

She kept in email contact with us the week before to make sure everything was set up the way we wanted it, and even offered to delay a painter if we wanted to use their patio during the party (we declined since it was pretty chilly out anyway). It was a great party--the atmosphere was great as always, and it was the perfect size for 40-50 people. Many more and some people would have to stand, although the official capacity is 100.

The pricing was VERY reasonable. Stephani charged us for food and alcohol, but she didn't have an additional price for the space since we're regulars. We tried to tip generously on the bill since she was doing so much for us!
