The Elizabeth is a wedding venue in downtown Frankfort, Kentucky. Originally built in 1849, it is regarded as a historic landmark. With scenic gardens and a tower bell to ring on your way out the door at the end of the evening, The Elizabeth is sure to give your wedding a magical feel.

Facilities and Capacity

The Elizabeth is an elegant yet classic venue that has two event spaces, each with their own maximum capacity. The Event Hall can accommodate 320 guests in a theatre-style seating (or 200 to 250 guests at round tables). There is a beautiful elevated stage for you to use however you like, and it is complete with a set of speakers for you to plug in a media device and play your own music. With a kitchen prep area, new large restrooms, and refinished hardwood floors, the historical significance of this location is preserved but still offers modern conveniences.

Directly adjacent to the Event Hall are The Gardens at The Elizabeth, which also have their own stage for ceremonies or bands. With a seating capacity of 200 guests, this location can accommodate a pole tent—or the rustic landscaping can be enjoyed as-is. The Gardens open directly into downtown Frankfort and provide gorgeous photo locations for you and your guests.

Services Offered

The Elizabeth can provide couples with space for bridal showers, ceremonies, engagement parties, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. We offer all-inclusive packages, clean-up, and are happy to work with outside vendors, though we are able to provide catering services.

Cuisine

Food at The Elizabeth can be buffet style, family style, plated, or in stations. Tall cocktail tables are provided in the venue rental and can be used for your event.

Accommodation

The Elizabeth has parking, shuttle, and valet services available for guests, and the entire venue is wheelchair accessible.
