The Joel Palmer House

We went to the Barlow Room (sister property of the Joel Palmer House in Dayton, OR) for our Rehearsal dinner the last weekend of May. It was awesome to be able to reserve enough tables for 30 people without having to pay for the whole space! They were very flexible & allowed us to create our own menu & bring in our own wine (for a fair corkage fee).
The food was excellent & the atmosphere was inviting. When you host an event, you always feel confirmation of the location when you have multiple guests raving about the quality & tastiness of the food.
Highly recommend for small parties or a weekend out!

As always, the Joel Palmer House comes through. The dessert was incredible, the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. Thank you!

I couldn't be more pleased with our experience at the Joel Palmer House as the location for our wedding! When choosing a venue we knew we wanted excellent food and service and the Joel Palmer House immediately came to mind.

The ceremony was held on the front steps of the house and the reception on the side lawn. It was the perfect set up and space for a wedding. And, for a very reasonable price. Everything was in the same place! No traveling around, catering in food and drinks -- it was great knowing they were in charge of everything.

The greenery on their grounds made for gorgeous photos. The front lawn donned rhododendron and immaculate landscaping so I had no need to purchase flowers for the ceremony at all (great for cost saving!)

The food, as expected, was perfection. Chef Czarnecki executed our wishes beautifully. We did a full sit down dinner for 104 people-- everyone was served quickly and the food was fabulous -- filet, fish, vegetarian options all with signature mushrooms. I was so impressed with the delivery and presentation of every plate. The staff also accommodated by building a bar outside so our guests didn't have to go far to get another beverage. The bartenders were also incredibly wonderful to work with as we came up with cocktails to serve and finding the best beer on tap. I always felt they were one step ahead and had everything taken care of.

It was the perfect place for a wedding. The food, the drinks, the attention to detail and service of the staff were off the charts. I couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out and how great the Joel Palmer House was to work with!

Without a shadow of doubt, Joel Palmer House provided the exact venue for our wedding that we had been looking for. The 150+ year old pioneer colonial house with a stunning front porch and yard provided the ideal location for our outdoor summer wedding. Joel Palmer has a patio set up that was perfect for the reception afterwards. The venue along with the 5 star food offerings couldn't have been better! Our wedding would never have been the same and the memories created we both will hold dear to our hearts. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Joel Palmer for making it happen!
