The mid-1800s barn venue constructed from two historic barns orinigally built in Pennslyvania and Canada offers ideal wedding elegance, modern ammenities, and a unique countryside setting that you and your guests are sure to enjoy. This charming and tranquil property provide scenic and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate up to 150 guests. Whether you are hosting a wedding, rehearsal dinner, engagement party, bridal shower, anniversary celebration or baby shower, we can accommodate your specific event needs.

History
The Hill House was originally constructed in 1885 by J.C. Hill as a home residence. This building was featured in the book ‘Texas Homes of the 19th Century’ by Drury Blakeley Alexander (University of Texas Press, 1966) as one of only a few Texas homes left from the 1800s.
Location
This venue is located between New Waverly and Coldspring, Texas. The Historic Hill House and Farm is only 35 miles from The Woodlands and 60 miles from Houston. Nearby recreation includes Lake Livingston, Huntsville State Park, the Sam Houston National Forest and the Sam Houston Memorial Museum.

Elegant and Refined
Our wedding was everything I dreamed, imagined and more. We had a destination wedding feel, allowing us more time with our out of town family members and I was proud to have those near and dear to me stay in the Hill house cabins and experience everything Hill House Had to offer (Except the pool. It was February after all). The ballroom of the barn is AMAZING. As I get back photos from the wedding, every. single. one. had a beautiful back drop. Inside out and, Historic Hill House is exceptional, extraordinary and just plain gorgeous. The rooms are five star plus. The individual amenities in the rooms are both thoughtful and delicious (a plank with olives, cheese, crackers, fruit and cookies and a smores kit for their fire pit!). Jodie Domengeaux Schrier is a doll and very personable. She will have no trouble booking up Hill House as a destination venue for not only weddings but corporate retreats, reunions, galas and any other large gathering. My only suggestion is for potential clients. Hurry up and book or you may miss your chance. This place is going to be busy .
