Lisa was amazing from start to finish! Her bio on Wedding Wire caught my eye over everyone else: she radiated compassion, care, and professionalism. These first impressions were far surpassed when my husband and I met with her for the first time over Zoom. Her demeanor was so calm and kind, we truly felt that she wanted to get to know us deeply as a couple. Her questionnaire was thoughtful and thorough, giving us ample creative room to talk all about our future spouse. From our responses and her conversations with us via email and Zoom, she composed the most thoughtful, personal, memorable oration for our ceremony. Her words truly made it perfect. We felt like she “got” us in every way. She delivered the most amazingly beautiful and personal ceremony that went above and beyond. She performed a hand fasting ceremony for us that we will remember forever. She imbued the ceremony with so much care and meaningful symbolism. She gifted us with a personalized hand fasting cord that hangs above our mantle to this day.

Lisa even came to our rehearsal. Like many couples, we experienced a lot of technical hiccups at our rehearsal, and we were feeling quite nervous… but her calm and professionalism helped guide us through and made us feel reassured and confident for the big day ahead. The big day itself had a bit of a delay due to a stopped train blocking traffic for our guests, but Lisa remained calm and composed and radiated professional composure the entire time, so much so that you couldn’t help but feel like everything was going to be okay. Afterwards, she even mingled with the guests at the reception, which our guests loved!

I couldn’t recommend The Hearth enough. She was prompt, responsive, kind, professional, and truly personable. We love how inclusive she is to all couples and spiritualities. She even made sure to use my preferred name several times during the ceremony (and checked with me beforehand to make sure it was okay.) We have Lisa to thank for our beautiful wedding and the beautiful memories created there.

We had a tiny wedding to keep it very personal with just close family. Lisa had a great process which allowed her to get to know us as a couple and truly personalize our ceremony. She was inclusive, respectful, and a calming energy. We loved having her officiate our service. She made it very unique and special.

I really cannot say enough good things about Lisa. She was so wonderful to work with. Very prompt, professional, patient, personable, and truly a pleasure. Lisa stuck with us when I hit overwhelm during the last few months of planning and did everything she could to make things easier for us. I appreciated her patience and understanding so much.

My husband and I needed a unique ceremony to encompass both of our wishes for a ceremony. My husband is not a religious person and I follow the pagan traditions. Lisa beautifully combined our religious requests into our ceremony. Our guests had so many compliments on our ceremony even though most of them did not share our religious beliefs. Everyone absolutely loved the hand fasting portion of our ceremony!

Lisa also went above and beyond and protected our wishes for our ceremony. I later learned that some family members had approached Lisa and asked to do a reading during our ceremony. Lisa knew that this reading would not be something either my husband or I would have been comfortable with. Lisa very respectfully let the family member know that the reading was not able to be added to the ceremony. Lisa could have easily referred the family member to me or my husband to resolve this, but she knew we were busy and took it upon herself to protect our wishes. I cannot thank her enough for that.

All of this to say that Lisa was the perfect choice for us for our officiant. I am so grateful for everything she did for us through the whole process. I cannot thank her enough for creating and officiating our perfect ceremony.

Due to some family health concerns, my wife and I had to put together a wedding in less than a month. Luckily, we picked Lisa and her company, The Hearth, LLC.

She made us comfortable as she got to know us, and very was thoughtful and thorough in her preparation.

In the end, Lisa delivered an amazing ceremony for us - even though we had no ceremony site and placed her in the middle of our reception.

Lisa was not only helpful and professional, but kind , caring, accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for on our special day. We eloped in Detroit from Canada and she was the right choice from that 1st zoom call we had to go over our wishes for our day. She became family that day. Our venue fell through the last minute and she was the reason we had somewhere for the ceremony. She went above and beyond the whole time. We are beyond blessed to have found her. There is no other choice if considering an officiant in Detroit.
