My hair looked amazing and so did all my bridesmaids!!! Stephanie was amazing she even came to the church to do my makeup befor the wedding!!!!

First of all, this is not a wedding review. I went for a routine highlight and trim. So,I must say first of all that my hair is definitely difficult to do. I am seldom happy, due to the gold, warm tones that happen when I try to have my hair lightened to blonde. We discussed this, and the stylist assured me that she could accomplish a blonde highlight without warm tones. In the end, due to lots of factors, I wasn't happy with the results. On her behalf, I will say that she nailed the blonde. But unevenly spaced, and almost none of my original brown showing through made me ask what options I had for fixing it. She became frustrated, defending her work, and sat there shaking her head, as if she couldnt believe this was happening to her. (Only, it was happening to me). Hopefully time and maturity will develop her people skills further, and she will become an even better stylist and deal better with unhappy customers. Taking responsibility comes with maturity, I realize, and kindness and understanding go a long way to divert a bad situation. She offered to try again to remedy the problems, and I agreed. Another girl (Erica) began to offer her help, and ultimately was the one to re-do. Erica was professional, understanding, and did not try to be right, but tried to find a solution. I appreciated that . The re-do didnt help much, but Erica recognized that, and we scheduled another appointment, and made a plan that will hopefully make things better. My overall impression is that the stylists work together as a team, and want to do a good job. Bad hair happens, and it is how it is dealt with that matters most. As a footnote, I want to say that when a woman goes to a salon, she may be nervous about what the outcome will be, She also wants a positive experience. It is an expensive thing to do, sometimes a treat for us, and we dont want to pay, then leave unhappy. I wish stylists understood this better. I will update my review when I return next week. (fingers crossed).

Unkind, Like it or Leave attitudes from Erica, and Diane (the Owner)

This is an update to my original review, almost 3 years ago. I had been a client of Erica's until my last service, when I spoke up about the color I was unhappy with. I was then asked to find someone else to fix it, because she was busy with a full clientele. She said she did not charge me enough to be stressed out every time she did my hair.. (SHE was stressed out????) Good Heavens, what happened to the customer having a say in the service they pay for??? Save yourself the stress and dont go to Erica. Unprofessional, and unkind. (She doesn't need your business, she's busy)
