The Engine Room

The Engine Room is a full-service historic wedding venue located in Monroe, Georgia as part of the Monroe Cotton Mills. The Mills housed the engines at the mill machinery for more than 90 years. The historic building has been a part of Monroe’s history since 1895 and has been restored and now serves as a venue to host wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as engagement parties and bridal showers. Many of the original elements to the space still remain, including the beautiful hardwood floors, exposed brick walls with weathered paint, heart of pine columns, iron bars on some of the windows, and original sliding fire doors. This historic and charming venue provides breathtaking photos and a unique location to say, "I do."

Facilities and Capacity
The Engine Room boasts 6,400 square feet of space to host up to 400 guests during a seated event or up to 500 standing. The expansive main hall can be divided as well, to host smaller sized weddings. The lawn boasts more than an acre and a half of green space to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony. It backs up to the historic brick mill building and accompanying towers, which provides a picturesque backdrop for photos. An outdoor patio can also be utilized for a private, open-air ceremony or reception.The historic space has been renovated to include modern conveniences such as a full-service commercial catering prep kitchen and industrial restrooms. The venue is fully accessible and climate-controlled, and offers ample parking. There is a large get-ready room available for members of the wedding party to prepare on-site.

Services Offered
The Engine Room allows all types of outside vendors to help execute the big day. Couples will work with a personal on-site supervisor during the planning and on the wedding day. The staff set up and clean up the wedding space, including unloading any extra equipment or decor. The Engine Room also provides tables and walnut Chiavari chairs to use.
