The Dorrington Hotel

We got married at The Dorrington Hotel on September 6th, and it was the absolute perfect wedding day and weekend. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was something special. We met Lori, the owner and on-site wedding coordinator, and everything felt magical. Lori was friendly, fun, and incredibly personable. She answered every question we had with confidence and pride, it was clear how much she cares about The Dorrington and all the improvements and upgrades she’s made over the past ten years.

The venue itself was exactly what we dreamed of, large enough for our 250-person wedding, surrounded by trees and mountain charm, and flexible enough to truly make the space our own. The hotel was perfect for our close family and wedding party, and the cottage gave us (the bride and groom) a little private retreat while still being close to everyone. And of course, The Lube Room next door is the ultimate hangout for fun, drinks, live music, and dancing, the perfect spot to keep the celebration going!

We worked closely with Lori throughout the planning process, and she was an absolute dream to work with. She helped coordinate rentals, day-of logistics, and vendor management, and brought so many great ideas to the table. We brought in portable restrooms, an ice cream truck, and more, and Lori handled all of it seamlessly, making sure every vendor knew exactly where to go and that the venue layout was perfect. She quickly felt like a friend, someone we could trust completely who truly wanted the best for us on our big day.

We checked in on Friday morning and didn’t want to leave Sunday! We hosted a post-rehearsal party at The Lube Room on Friday night, and it was the best kickoff imaginable, great food, live music, and over 100 of our guests joining in the fun. Most had never been there before, and everyone loved it.

Wedding day itself was flawless. Lori and her staff were detail-oriented, punctual, and so much fun. Every member of The Dorrington team made us feel like family. From the ceremony in the meadow to the cocktail hour around the bar, dinner, dancing under the string lights, and cozy fire pits, everything was perfect.

If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Lori and her crew have something truly special at The Dorrington Hotel and Lube Room. We will absolutely be back for future celebrations and parties.

We had our wedding this summer at the Dorrington Hotel and it was a dream come true. Lori and Debbie were so helpful both leading up to the weekend and on the day of the wedding. We had so much fun staying at the hotel, and even added an extra night so we could just relax and enjoy. With the Lube Room right next door it made it the perfect location for both enjoying nature, but also having access to great food, drinks, and live music. We’re already thinking about the next time we can go back for a stay at the Dorrington Hotel. Thank you, Lori and team!

I didn't need to stress at all while planning our dream wedding, and I have Dorrington to thank for that. My husband and I were looking for a wedding venue that was surrounded by nature, had ample space for the many children in our families to run around, had vintage charm and a friendly, flexible staff. Dorrington delivered on all of these desires and then some. The hotel itself is charming and cozy, maintaining its 1850's feel. The grounds are stunningly beautiful while having a laid back feel. Lori and her whole staff are unbelievably kind and helpful! They were so easy to work with and made sure that our many questions and requests were seen to. Jami, the Dorrington caterer, was incredible and enthusiastic. She even went out of her way to bring in gorgeous pampas grass that she snipped from her yard the morning of the wedding to dress up the hors d'oeuvres table. The food itself was delicious and our guests gushed about how much they enjoyed their meals!
Our immediate family spent the entire weekend at the hotel, and the experience was so special. The staff is very laid back and lets you enjoy the venue at your leisure, but are readily available at all times. We got comments from so many family members and friends that the venue was lovely and the event staff was friendly and welcoming.
We would choose Dorrington again and again!

The Dorrington Hotel has a unique style and laid-back vibe that my husband and I loved! We had such an amazing night and I'm so thankful we chose The Dorrington. Lori was a huge help finding rentals and bringing everything together seamlessly. It was so nice being able to have our lodging taken care of on site and not having to travel at all after the reception. I highly recommend this venue.

I am so happy that I chose to have our wedding at The Dorrington, it is a beautiful mountain location, Lori and her crew are wonderful, loved having the Lube a room Saloon to celebrate and staying at the hotel felt special and was fun to be able to stay with my bridesmaids the night before! Love! Absolutely recommend.
