We had a tasting with Taylor Made and it was amazing. The owner made us feel at home at their office while we went over options and tasted the food we selected. He was great about giving us time to talk as a couple but not feel left alone or constantly being watched/hounded. The food is amazing and you can tell they take pride in making items from scratch and preparing them well. We decided on our drive home that we didn't need to taste another cater and signed the contract the next day. They are amazingly friendly and work with you, we cant wait to have them cater our big day this October!

Let me first start off by saying COUPLES BEWARE. I know this review is long, but it is for good reason. I only hope that you and your partner see this and really use it to decide if they are someone you trust to use on your special day. Is the food phenomenal? Yes! It ultimately came down to customer service; I don't even know where to begin. We booked Taylor Made Catering for our 10.22.22 wedding and were really looking forward to it! We signed the contract and paid our deposit at the end of September 2021 and were good to go. In April 2022, I inquired with them about potentially having them do our wedding cake. The owner's daughter, Kirstan, made an update to our proposal requiring a new signature on the contract which I never did. (In the end, there is a total of FIVE contract versions; each one requesting my signature which I never do because I already signed *THE* contract in the very beginning..) We go with a different vendor for our cake and that conversation ended. Come to June 2022, I reach out about setting up a payment plan with them. It was initially set up as 10% at the beginning and 90% for the final payment. We proceeded to make smaller increment payments of $1,000 which was helpful! It wasn't until then that we were told that the pricing had gone up from our signed contract. This resulted in our total being $950 MORE than we had spoken of at the time of signing. I wrote back to her questioning why our price was not solidified at the time of signing (MINUS the changes due to the final guest count of course). She wrote back saying that prices were subject to change due to INFLATION, which I get. However, in our contract, it stated "Due to COVID-19 Food Prices are subject to change". In another version, which I had not signed and agreed to, it was changed to say "Due to INFLATION PRICING: Food Prices, Delivery Fee, and Buffet Service are subject to change." This is when we got our wedding coordinator involved and when things went south quick. Our coordinator, (who I'll refer to as Jane) truly went to bat for us. She called them on our behalf and it was an incredibly unprofessional conversation. Multiple times did she state that she was not trying to work against them; that she was simply just trying to be business partners and make sure that the client was taken care of. She stated that in order for them to make these changes to the contract like they did an addendum would need to be issued and it never was. Woody, the owner, got very frustrated by this and said "oh so you're a lawyer now huh?" As I said, it was not professional on Taylor Made's end nor was it productive. Jane finally got word that they would comply and stick to the original terms. I then received an email from Kirstan saying "We had made this change with every couple for the remainder of the year so that they had updated pricing and contracts. I will keep yours as signed." I was relieved but my heart broke for the other couples who were none the wiser to this. Jane the coordinator assured me that there would be no further issues but something didn't sit right with me. Jump to Sept. and we get an email about the final payment and details being due soon when they weren't due until the first week in Oct. We paid $1,000 to not have any fees and it was radio silence from them for a bit. It dawned on me that the original terms weren't being held and with it being so close to the wedding we had Jane get involved. Kirstan was very unprofessional during that call. She was asked to not contact me as I was at work and I still got a phone call, text, and email one after another being very passive-aggressive. We terminated our contract knowing we'd lose the 10% deposit and asked for a refund on the other funds paid. It took them 17 days and a threat to take this issue to our attorney before we saw our money back. All of this to say, I do NOT recommend them for catering. Know that they will likely give a passive-aggressive reply to this review which only furthers my point.
