TASTE OF INDIA

I'm so happy to write a review the catering services of Taste of India (Savannah, GA) for our wedding in Hilton Head, SC this past August. We had a 2 day (3 event) indian wedding at the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head, SC. Raj and Sandy came highly recommended from a family member who's in the wedding industry in Atlanta and from Sonesta Resort equally. We decided to start off with a "simple" tasting that was booked last minute with Sandy. Let me tell you, there was nothing simple about this initial tasting. Sandy had offered over 5-6 dishes that was plentiful, full of flavor and show cased all the different styles of indian cuisine they can do (north indian, south indian, gujarati, indochinese, indian street food). From this my husband and I were blown away and Sandy urged us to come back and do a formal tasting with their director of catering, Raj. After selecting a preliminary menu, we met with both Sandy and Raj and tasted over 15-20 dishes. They did not hesitate to give us a sample of everything we asked for, PLUS Raj added several dishes which were his own personal suggestions. This is where we really started to like these guys - they know how to cater indian weddings - plain & simple. They will give you honest opinions of what will work and won't. Everything we had on the menu was a hit, even today we get compliments on the food and people wondered where we can find an authentic indian caterer in a not so indian populated area like Hilton Head. If you are having your wedding in the Savannah-Charleston area and between - don't look any further. We sampled with another great catering company from atlanta but these guys just hit our palette right. They are bold and authentic in flavor. And they can do all types of indian cuisine exceptionally well. We are gujarati and had authentic gujarati lunch for the wedding and they delivered 100%. They did live stations on Friday night which were a hit. Thank you for everything!!!
