We had a beautiful gluten free wedding cake and cupcakes. Everyone loved the desserts and they didn’t even know they were gluten free. They were great to work with and everything was beautiful and delicious!

we got a two layer cutting cake from take the cake. we had a wonderful tasting, and were able to select the flavors we wanted. also showed a photo of what I was wanting and she re=-created it.

The cupcakes for our wedding were excellent! Take the Cake is great if your looking for desserts that are unique and different. We had both regular and mini cupcakes in varying flavors, so our order was not easy! Megan was awesome to work with. I scored slightly lower on responsiveness and professionalism: Megan was difficult to get ahold of at times..delaying decision making. Professionalism ranks slightly lower, too because we did not receive a cutting cake the day of the wedding. My husband and I did want a cutting cake for the wedding, as discussed in a face-to-face meeting with her and a member of her staff. However, the topic of wanting a cutting cake was never revisited after the meeting and before the wedding. I would say that we're both to blame for this lack of communication. We did cut a delicious cupcake though. I would recommend Take the Cake. So YUMMY!

We purchased several dozen mini and regular size cupcakes from Take The Cake for our daughter's wedding in Dubuque. The cupcakes are superb!
The only reason I couldn't give them a 5 star was because they forgot to bring the cutting cake. We stated we wanted a cutting cake at the cake testing. It was quite disappointing for the bride and groom to not have a cake to cut since they had a custom cake topper made for the wedding. Instead, they cut a cupcake. I contacted Megan after the wedding and she agreed to provide another cutting cake for a family get together in July as well as giving us a $50 gift card for their error. The bride and groom with have a (better late than never) cake cutting in July!
