If you’re getting married in the Toledo area, you must check out Sylvania Country Club. Chelsea went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day; she is the best! She was always responsive and helpful in answering our many questions over the past 2 years of planning.

The getting ready areas are better than any other venue you will find. We had 3 full size rooms to hang out in and get ready. More than enough space for our wedding party and vendors. There was a dressing room specifically for men and women. There was a huge mirror in the women’s dressing room for our hair and makeup vendors to set up shop as well.

The venue itself is beautiful. The golf course is amazing- they give you a free round for up to 4 people when you book with them. One of the best courses I’ve ever played in my life. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn and it looked amazing. We utilized the patio for happy hour and the ballroom for the reception. Our guests commented all night how awesome every space was.

The food was immaculate, and the drinks were strong. We had so many compliments on food and beverage. Everything was prepared to perfection and the staff was very kind to us and our guests. They even packaged up a full meal for us to eat at the hotel when we got back. SCC also partners with Wingate by Wyndham Sylvania/Toledo to give the couple a free room on their wedding night.

My wife and I truly believe we picked the best venue for our wedding. We would recommend it 10 out of 10 times to anyone getting married in Toledo!

This venue has a nice and classic look. The staff here is very good and professional. We enjoyed our wedding day at this venue and got great photos inside the venue and outside the venue on the golf course.

Kristi was incredible throughout our entire wedding planning process. She was prompt with emails and quickly gathered any information we needed. The wedding day was absolutely gorgeous - cocktails on the patio overlooking the golf course and a beautiful set up in the main dining area. The dance floor was big and packed full of guests! The bar area was perfect for those who wanted to step aside and have a conversation without yelling over the band. Everyone REALLY enjoyed the meal and the appetizers. I cannot say enough about SCC, it was absolutely perfect and extremely accommodating. Kristi worked with all of our vendors to ensure set up went smoothly. We are so happy with our selection!

This country club is amazing. Had appetizers on patio overlooking the beautiful golf course. Dinner was served in room upstairs with wide windows having the same gorgeous view. April was outstanding! Many compliments on food! Pictures were taken on the golf course using a drone. Absolutely breathtaking!

I am so glad we decided to have our reception at Sylvania country club! It was a burial won't wedding and the decorations in the club were perfect! The servers and bartenders were all so kind and the service was great!! We had the whole club to ourselves all day and it was very special! I definitely recommend Sylvania Country Club!

Wonderful experience at Sylvania Country Club. Club was decorated beautifully for Christmas, service is outstanding! Working with the restaurant manager April was wonderful as she is very detail oriented and made sure everything was just the way I imagined it and even more! She went above and beyond. Everything went very smoothly throughout the whole night. One very minor issue (not even a complaint- just something I noticed right away) was that our food tasted very different from the tasting we had a month prior. It was still very good but not the same food and found out later that there was a change in chefs. Over all through it was a very positive experience!

I planned everything long distance and the communication was not the best in the beginning. The venue was beautiful and everything went almost perfect. With the exception of there being no AC in the cocktail hour and it was over 90 degrees. I expected for the amount I paid that the building would have adeqaute AC. Other than that it was beautiful and everyone was so helpful and made my wedding amazing

Only three complaints during the entire reception. The first one was that the bride and groom were told on many occasions that they, the wedding party and the photographer could use golf carts to go out on the course and take pictures. No golf carts were provided nor was the country club willing to give us any when we asked on the day of the wedding. The second complaint was that the country club was also hosting a high school homecoming dinner, which was never mentioned to us. Many of those students kept coming in and out of our weddings reception space and also were intruding during cocktail hour. For the price we paid the country club, I wouldn't have expected to share the same facilities with high school students. The third complaint is that the bar ran out of many liquors before 8:30pm thus limiting the guests on drink options. Other than those three issues I had stated above, everything else seem to work out well and the night was enjoyable!

Sylvania Country Club is absolutely goregous and having an event coordinator there is a huge help. Every time I spoke with April I was very impressed and happy. The venue was beautiful and the staff was very polite. The food is AMAZING! Best wedding food I've ever had!

I did have a few issues:
1) When paying for the reception, a discount we had been told we were going to get had not been included and they "stopped doing it as of January 2015" but I picked the venue in March of 2015 and was told about it. Luckily we had it in writing, so they honored the agreement. I recommend the location, BUT GET THINGS IN WRITING!
2) Day of the wedding, we had some flowers/vases coming from the ceremony, which they new ahead of time. We were told the staff would put everything where it needed to be. I found out later that our stuff was "late" so my friends/family who brought the flowers/vases had to put up those arrangements themselves.

The country club itself is GORGEOUS. The service from the wait staff and bartenders was fantastic (that is why there is a high star rating for service) . The food was good, everyone we have talked to loved it. The major issues we had were with the vendor coordinator April and with them not providing our full alcohol package. We had purchased the gold package and they did not provide several liquors and beers that it included. They ran out of beer and liquor part way through the cocktail hour and had to go to the store for more. Wine that I specifically asked for and was told would be provided was unavailable. Up until the week of the wedding April was amazing, she seemed to understand everything we wanted and was incredibly helpful. The week of the wedding her whole persona changed, she cancelled a meeting with us and tried to cancel a second meeting with us. She had told us there would be a bartender in the mens area then told us the Sunday before that he is on vacation the whole month of January. She argued with my officiant and was rude to my guests (she told several of them including a reader that they could not go into the ceremony area---the bartender had to tell them an alternate door to go into). She also showed the venue while we were getting ready and made me wait to use areas which made me lose time with my photographer. One of my bridesmaids paid for a breakfast that included bagels, pastries, yogurt, coffee, and juice. The bagels and pastries were inedible because of how stale they were and we ran out of coffee. She also paid extra for name brand creamer and April came in and said she was getting creamer for her coffee because the creamer came from her office. There was also supposed to be a coffee service for the groom and groomsmen that was not provided. I would only recommend this venue if there was a different coordinator because you will be guaranteed a lot of things that will not be provided.
