Sweet Seasons Farm Event Barn is a rustic wedding venue in Valley Head, Alabama. Richard and Paulette Manning, the owners, built the hidden farm in 1971. This family-owned and operated farm is one of the oldest and largest sheep farms in Alabama. Their flock of sheep can serve as a unique wedding backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. Sweet Seasons Farm Event Barn brings a combination of vintage charm and countryside ambiance.
Facilities and Capacity Sweet Seasons Farm Event Barn can host up to 300 guests. It accepts only one event per weekend to be able to completely focus on one event and avoid sharing the space with another wedding. The barn has multiple stall restrooms and a commercial kitchen. The ground has parking spaces, a stage for entertainment, a bar area, and personal dressing rooms for couples.

We had our reception at Sweet Seasons this past Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful! The grounds are so well kept and we all enjoyed watching the dog work with the sheep. We had some guests complain about the drive (we live 45 minutes away) but once they got there they completely understood why I chose Sweet Seasons as the venue. Everybody absolutely loved it and we all had a blast. Thanks Paulette for everything!

My daughter was married at Sweet Seasons on October 18th. This venue is absolutely beautiful. The trees in October were stunning and the sheep were adorable milling around in the background. The event barn is decorated beautifully all the time, and looks even more magical at night when all the lights are on. The bridal suite is a very special place for the bride and her bridesmaids. The antique décor is so homey and charming and makes wonderful pictures and memories. The venue has a professional kitchen available for your catering staff to use also. The Mannings were very kind and courteous to our party during the entire event. They were there to help with whatever we needed and to answer any questions we had. Amanda and Cameron's wedding was everything they hoped it would be, and we are so grateful to Sweet Seasons for helping to give our daughter and son-in-law such a perfect day. Thank you so much from the Turner-Shaw families!!

Our daughter was married at Sweet Seasons Farm yesterday, and she could not have chosen a more perfect location! The land, the sheep in the background, the serenity...everything makes this an excellent choice for any special occasion. The owners are so nice and easy to work with. Best priced venue we visited in the north Alabama area, and by far the nicest! I would definitely recommend Sweet Seasons Farm to anyone seeking a special place for any event!

Paulette and her daughter provided a venue that allowed me to have my fairytale wedding. From assisting throughout the planning process with my every need to being by our side the entire day, I could not have picked a more perfect venue. They are the sweetest people and have the most stunningly gorgeous venue. I would go back and get re-married there in a heartbeat!!!

We got married this past Friday evening at the farm. It was so beautiful! All the guests truly had a great time. The field was beautiful and we were able to have the sheep wherever we wanted. They kind of circled the guest chairs during the ceremony and the guests loved it! The sheep puppies were so sweet and the guests loved them too! Several of our guests asked us how we found this venue. I told them I did a search for the Mentone area and found Sweet Seasons and the reviews were great and after meeting up with Paulette and falling in love with the farm we were able to book it. The wedding and reception were both laid back and beautiful and everyone had a great time. Paulette stuck around and made sure everything went smoothly. It was so nice to have the ceremony and the reception so close together. The reception area was so pretty that very little needed to be done as far as decorations. Paulette's decorations are beautiful, and the bridal suite was fantastic. If you see something you really like and want to take home Paulette more than likely will let you buy it from her! If not, she'll tell you where to get something similar! We bought a couple of things which also serve as a nice memento of this place. This is a unique venue and it's a place your guests will likely never forget. I highly recommend Sweet Seasons Farm! Thanks, Paulette, for the wonderful memories and for being such a huge part of the happiest day of my life!

Sweet Seasons Farm was a beautiful, peaceful and serene location for our daughter's wedding. The sheep added a pastoral atmosphere to the festivities. The owners were very cooperative and helpful in planning the wedding and also very accommodating on the day of the wedding. Everyone commented on the beauty of the surroundings. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for an outdoor wedding.

My husband and I got married at Sweet Seasons in June 2012. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. We rented cabins in Mentone as well, and it was the perfect compromise between a destination and local wedding. The weather topped the charts at 107 degrees that day, but it was so beautiful. Our pictures are to die for, with the beautiful scenery and sheep. Paulette, the owner, is a dream to work with. She is very helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
