Katie, owner of “Susi’s Flowers” is AMAZING! Katie and her team were our florists for my daughter’s wedding. They made gorgeous bridal party bouquets, flower girl floral crown, ceremony and reception floral arrangements, wedding arch décor arrangements, cocktail table bouquets, dessert table décor, memory tables décor and so MUCH more! The result was stunning! Exceeded our expectations! During our first meeting at Katie’s shop, I happened to share that we were in a dilemma because my daughter’s dream was to have the traditional French wedding cake, a “Croquembouche Pièce-montée.” The problem was that the only French pâtissier anywhere near the wedding venue was over an hour away and could not provide delivery at that distance. Not expecting anything more than a sympathetic ear to our disappointment, Katie immediately said she could send one of her drivers to get the cake and deliver it to the venue since their floral trucks are set-up to keep flowers fresh, hence could do the same for a cream-puff tower! My daughter and I were speechless! Such incredible kindness! Katie made the most exquisite large floral arrangements for the circular “arch” used at the ceremony. The flowers she used provided the perfect color contrast to the sequoias in the background and the white guests chairs. Katie also provided beautiful votive holders and an array of candles of 3 different sizes which, incorporated with her centerpieces and additional greenery, turned the reception terrace into the most romantic and elegant setting! Additionally, Katie provided baskets to hold sun parasols and programs, and several chic serving trays for the petits-fours. In addition to her artistic gift, Katie has such a fantastic personality. She is a very passionate, energetic, and creative florist; an absolute delight to work with. Not only did Katie surpass our dream vision, but she did it within the budget we initially offered up. On the day of the wedding, Katie and her team were extraordinary: extremely efficient, discreet, paying attention to every detail. The result was perfection. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue looked – every bit of it had Katie’s magic touch! We wholeheartedly strongly recommend Katie and her team at “Susi’s Flowers”!

We visited the small shop about 6 months before our wedding and they were able to accommodate us for our September wedding in the Santa Cruz mountains.

We had all sorts of flowers, including the ceremony site, corsages and buttonhole, bouquet and dinner tables. They did a great job on all fronts, all the flowers were very fresh and vibrant! Price seemed quite reasonable!

We had a phone call a few months out to discuss our needs and preferences, and although we know very little about flowers, so they had to make lots of choices based on our vague insight. And they did a great job! We were very happy with all of the lovely flowers. They also provided candles for the tables.

I highly recommend Susi's flowers. Not only were they very easy to work with especially with all my questions and changes but they did an amazing job on the flowers at my wedding. We received many compliments throughout the evening and it really made the day more elegant. The flowers have also lasted over the last week adding so beauty, great scent and lasting memories of the wedding continued. We met with 3 florists but Katie from Susi's flowers was the best! She has a great energy and communicated her vision based on what we discussed perfectly. She worked closely with us to make adjustments based on our budget and we are extremely happy with where we landed. I can't wait to see it all come together on our big day.

Susi is such an awesome lady! Our wedding flowers were all SO BEAUTIFUL!! I was blown away, and so in love and enchanted when I saw them on my wedding day. When I met with her to go over our budget and talk about options, she made me feel so at ease. Not only was her shop stunning, and all the surrounding floral arrangements...but she was delightful, and fun! Just so sweet, and you can tell right away that she is the best florist you could ask for. The other thing that made choosing Susi's flowers so special for me, is that my two older sisters also used her for their weddings in 2008 and 2010! When I get photos, I will show them off! Susi is great to work with and really knows her stuff. It was a very relaxed and fun meeting with her as she listened carefully to my requests. She even offered to put together the flower girl basket and find sterilized bird seed for us to use at our venue. Highly recommended!

The flowers Susi did were absolutely stunning!!!!! We were only able to speak over the phone and email, but Susi "heard" what I would like and I can't say enough how beautiful the flowers turned out. From the size of my bouquet to the colors to the amazing ceremony pieces...perfectly lovely!

A godsend. Simply put, I would have been miserable if it had not been for Susi's Flowers. She was not my florist, but when my florist completely ruined my bouquet (read review on Gorgeous and Green Events) Susi's Flowers was the place 2 of my friends stumbled into and saved my bouquet. She took the horrible bouquet, ripped it apart, and made a gorgeous bouquet for me that brought an immediate smile to my face. Without her, I probably would have walked down the aisle without a bouquet.

I went in not knowing really what I wanted. She went through an album with me, and by the end of the book she could point at an arrangement and be right about whether or not I would like it, or what I would like changed about it to fit my style. I left all the flowers in her hands, didn't know really any specifics of what would be showing up, and everything was perfect and beautiful! She really listened and understood what I was looking for.

I really enjoyed working with Katie in planning the flowers for my wedding! She had great taste and was able to turn my ideas into reality. She laughed at my powerpoint presentation of of how I wanted the event to be laid out, but she executed it perfectly. Her styling was more natural and bohemian, which was much more my style.

Susie's doesn't have a minimum, so it was great to work with them to stay under a budget. Katie worked with me on ways to keep my cost down and even let me provide my own vases! After looking at so many florists with strict minimums not returning my calls, they were a godsend.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Susi's for any wedding in the Santa Cruz/Monterey area!
