This is a park that you rent for the day or half of a day, depending on your time constraints. You are able to bring in all of your own vendors, so it's very DIY! I loved everything about it, especially the cost, but more importantly the picturesque landscape with stunning eucalyptus and redwood trees!!! Highly recommend!!!!

This venue, owned by the SF Parks and Rec, is absolutely beautiful. It's also one of the only affordable ones in San Francisco. Our 88 guests fit quite nicely in the main room for our reception. The main point of contact at the Parks and Rec Dept took a while to respond to my emails, but always responded promptly to my dad's. The venue is a historic one and has quirks but it is charming overall. We received so many compliments on our venue choice, our photographer was especially impressed by the romantic setting.

A beautiful venue and very affordable for San Francisco. The pros: beautiful setting in nature, hard to believe that you are in the middle of a city, romantic and lush. The cons: Rec & Park has a lot of rules, which can add to the cost since you have to hire a security guard and purchase a $400+ fire permit if you plan to burn candles.
