I am lucky and grateful to have used Starstruck Maquillage for my wedding in Birmingham, AL on September 2015. Vanny is the owner, she offered me a great wedding package for bridal hair and makeup as well as hair package for my seven bridesmaids.

At first, I was a bit skeptical of Starstruck Maquillage since I found them through Craigslist. But after talking to Vanny through email, I found how flexible and attentive she was to cater to my needs. I was a strange case: 1. I live in Shanghai, China so it is difficult to get in touch with me 2. My wedding is out-of-state for Vanny since she is based in Atlanta, GA and 3. My bridesmaids and I are ethnically Asian, so it can be different to work with us in terms of hair and makeup. Vanny did not take an issue to any of these things and was still able to deliver outstanding professional service.

Vanny was patient, kind, caring, and well prepared. My bridesmaids and I really enjoyed her charming, calm, and down-to-earth personality. I feel like she has passion for what she does and that's how she brings happiness to the room. Vanny was an integral part of my wedding experience.

Getting my hair and makeup done was decision done late in the game of the wedding plans and several people I contacted either were already booked or way too expensive. Luckily while on Yelp I found Vanny randomly. Her page only had one review at the time but the review was done by the husband which I found cute. I contacted her and ended up booking my trial session to be done with my bridal portraits.

When we met up the original time frame was 2ish hours but it ended up taking about 3 hours but we had enough time to make it where we needed to be for pictures. I had a decent amount of hair to curl and I was using clip in extensions so it added some more time.

Lets just say that even though the appointment took a little longer than I was expecting, I LOVED how it turned out. She loves sharing ideas on Pinterest so I had pinned several ideas already and she was able to take those ideas and my makeup and hair were beautiful.

When it came to actual wedding day she did the makeup of my three bridesmaids as well as myself and it went very smoothly. She set up shop in our hotel room and one after another did our hair and makeup. It took about 6.5 hours from enter and exit of the hotel room which may seem a bit long but two of the bridesmaids had pretty long hair which took longer to curl and fix.

Overall she was phenominal and I would higly recommend her to anyone else! She was sweet to work with and my mother loved her, which matters when planning a wedding!!
