Mrs. Racquel and her team were absolutely amazing!! They’re so professional and attentive to details! They made sure that everything was perfect! Raquel was referred to me by a retired caterer and I must say it was the best decision my husband and I made. Our wedding experience was definitely one to remember. We literally didn’t have to do a thing but say yes or no to what we liked and didn’t like. Raquel made sure all vendors were on time and on point. Like any event, we ran into a few issues but Raquel did her absolute best to ensure that my husband and I didn’t have any added stress. Mrs.Racquel and her staff are amazing! If you're stressed out about anything, just call her right away and she'll take care of it! Anything i wanted, she searched for it and found us the best options! Shes very organized and punctual. Standing Ovations was referred to me by a friend on Facebook. I honestly took the leap because it was a referral from a good friend. Needless to say it was the best decision other than say yes to my husband. Racquel and her team were there every step of the way, including home visits, timely responses, close attention to details, preferred list of vendors, and a high degree of professionalism. We planned for 16 mos and my husband and I felt as though we weren't even planning a wedding, Racquel arranged everything. She didn't overlook even one detail. The day of my wedding went over without a hitch!!!! Except for my son loosing his shoes, but guess who found them, yes, Racquel! Her staff is highly professional, in tune with our needs and acted accordingly. They knew where everything/everyone should be at any given time and were always available when needed. Our wedding was at 6 pm so the team was there the whole day. The wedding started at the exact start time and we even had enough time to greet guests during the cocktail hour. Our guests and family were in awe at the decor, the food, the presentation, and the overall event. I would recommend Standing Ovations to any bride looking for peace of mind, a guiding and supportive consultant, and the skill to pull off the wedding of your dreams.

I paid for wedding directing/planning services. Services leading up to the event were pleasant with monthly and weekly meetings as my wedding date got closer. When I met with Raquel, exchanges were pleasant as well. However, about a month before my wedding her attitude changed. There was a miscommunication with one of the vendors that seemed to spark the attitude change. Accusatory texts were sent to the bride and ultimately the blame was placed on the bride.

I was told I needed to fill out my rehearsal and wedding day timeline and she gave me a template to go buy. I filled it out and returned it to her.


Rehearsal was fine and she did a good job, but still sensed some sort of animosity. The wedding day started out as expected even though she was a little late on account of traffic. Raquel did well and directed the vendors, but a few last minute changes were sprung on the bride without knowing beforehand. Even though speaking with her before and about reserved tables and so forth, when it came time to seat my family, she acted as though we had not discussed this prior.

Also, while mingling with my family and dancing with my new husband, she interrupted with more timeline questions and asked about changing the band's playing time. She informed me that I need to do my bouquet toss earlier than schedule and that the photographer had to leave. The photographer pulled me aside and said otherwise. It really felt like she was she was trying to rush my wedding day. Finally I said we need to stick to my schedule and I would see her at the send-off.

I knew some hiccups were bound to happen, but despite all this I had a fine time and received compliments from guests after the wedding. This post was not to bash Standing Ovations, Raquel or anyone else. I just wanted to leave my personal experience and let future husbands and wives make informed decisions.
