Splash Seafood Bar & Grill is a restaurant venue and oyster bar located in Des Moines, Iowa that hosts weddings and other special events. Founder Bruce Gerleman was inspired by his love of fishing and historic renovations to start this enterprise in 1998. Saley Nong, a local artist and designer, was commissioned to create a mural inspired by undersea life for Splash Seafood Bar & Grill. This playful and colorful abstract piece contrasts with the nine saltwater aquariums featuring striking coral and tropical fish. These features combine to form a unique and beautiful backdrop for wedding celebrations.
