I love Specialty Cakes! The staff is so nice and professional. Their cakes are all delicious and affordable. My husband and I chose a raspberry cake filled with chocolate mousse and topped with a buttercream frosting. It was a big hit at our wedding!! Everyone thought it was beautiful and someone even said that it was the best cake they had ever had at a wedding. I highly recommend them and will definitely continue to get cakes and other sweets from them.

They were able to create the exact cake I wanted from a picture I gave them.

I wanted a fountain with my wedding cake and they were able to provide the fountain and they were able to make the water the color of the wedding.

When I booked my wedding at the Holiday Inn, the package included the cake, and I had my choice of two Bakers. I had been told to use Specialty Cakes because their cakes supposedly tasted great. And they did! The icing colors matched my flowers perfectly, and I provided them with a magazine photo and they copied it perfectly. They even suggested a buttercream frosting instead of fondant, and I'm glad they did, because it looked like fondant, but without the hard sugar taste. I wasn't too excited about their "non-guiding" assistance the first time that I stopped in. I didn't know what all to ask, and they didn't seem interested in suggesting anything. I had a different person the next time, and I knew what I wanted then. Otherwise, the product is great.

First, let me say that the quality/taste of the cake on a whole was OK. But it was not up to our expectations. At a tasting provided by our reception vendor, we tasted a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter topping that was to die for. This was the main reason we went with Specialty Cakes. So we requested the filling be peanut butter flavored instead of butter cream. The final product left a lot to be desired. The filling between layers was paper-thin and unless it was eaten separately from the cake, it was almost impossible to tell it was peanut butter. And we paid an extra $120 for this alteration. It was absolutely not worth it! Afterward, we were told that the sample we had at the tasting was the peanut butter icing and not the filling, which "has a much more subtle taste." We were not informed in any way that this was the case during the planning process. Also, the operation as a whole did not seem to be that well organized. At one point, my wife called to make sure they had everything they needed from us, but they initially couldn't find our file. It turns out the person to whom our cake had been assigned left and our account was not reassigned. I can see how this can happen, but it shouldn't.

EXTREMELY dissatisfied! They did not try to make this a good experience by any means. As a matter of fact, the girl was complaining that we were there! The cakes appearance turned out terrible and it was a very simple, contemporary design!
