10/10!!!! Southern City Lights blew our expectations out of the water. We searched and searched to find a band that we thought would be a good fit for our friends and family. We booked them for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception and would do it all over again if we could. They were not only fantastic, but exuded professionalism and allowed every event to run smoothly. David was a pleasure to work with— easy communication, detailed spread sheets, and more! We got to customize our whole experience and loved choosing the songs we wanted to be performed at the reception. The whole band was friendly, hospitable, and WONDERFUL at performing. Our guests are still ranting and raving over how much fun they had and a huge credit goes to SCL. David, we can’t thank you and the band enough for being apart of our special day. We wish we could do it all over again just to have you guys there.

Guys, do not skip out on this band!!! Hiring a band for my wedding ( back in May 2024) was the very first vendor I booked. I can genuinely say that this was the best decision I made as far as vendors go along side my photographer and videographer.

David is a very professional person to work and to plan your music with, yet talks to you with so much ease that it makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend. We personally communicated with voice notes through a lot of our planning alongside phones calls and text messages.

Having this band at my wedding was the highlight of my day. They will entertain your crowd no matter where they are from. Each member is so talented. Half of my guest were from India and/or didn’t know the music, but they were dancing on the floor the whole night. I was on the floor the whole night. David and the band even learned a song that wasn’t on their playlist that is very special to my dad and me. (Mississippi Queen by Mountain). It was awesome.

David also has the quality of “rolling with the punches” if you will with the craziness of a wedding day and all the things that can go wrong. For example, my timeline was pushed back due to my wedding venue being double booked, my stage guy was giving everyone problems by showing up late, etc. (i wont go into everything, haha!) I’m forever thankful.

I could go on and on about this amazing business but I will stop here and just say trust me, you won’t regret hiring this band. I would hire them a thousand times over and I hope I get to one day. I also hope I’m invited to a wedding where they are playing the cocktail hour and reception like they did mine so I can be the guest. Haha!

We loved this band! We were recommended this band from a friend who had them as their wedding band, and I’m so glad we did! David is super responsive and the band perfectly executed our special dance songs (which were not on their original list!) and really brought the house down night-of. We opted to add in the saxophone and were so glad we did, it really enhanced the songs! Our guests loved them, and so did we.
