Dustin was everything we could've asked for in a DJ for our big day! Throughout the whole process, his personality, organization, and love of music was apparent, which was important to us! He was there for questions, recommendations, and accommodated several special requests (including extending our reception)! The photo booth staffed by Jenna was such a hit and the pictures provide so quickly afterwards still have us laughing. We hope to have a reason to use Dustin and his team again!

Dustin is everything you want in a DJ. His professionalism and responsiveness throughout the planning stages was impeccable. We Skyped with him leading up to the event to discuss what we wanted and you could tell how much he cared about what we wanted the day to feel like. Dustin's equipment is top of the line and the way he sets it up looks very tasteful and professional. Dustin's choices in music throughout the cocktail hour and the reception were spot on. He really knows how to feel out a room and tailor the sound to the mood. The dancing was great and our friends and family had a blast! Our only regret is the night went so fast! We could have danced all night!

Dustin, with Soundinmind DJ Services, was absolutely wonderful. Dustin has an incredible attention to detail, which makes everything run smoothly the day of the wedding. It is so evident that Dustin cares about the couple he is working with, and everything he does is geared toward them, and what they want for their wedding day. Dustin was able to go over songs we liked and geared all the dinner music to our taste. During the dancing, Dustin (and assistant Jenna) watched how the crowd responded to each song, and tailored his choices accordingly, keeping the dance floor PACKED the entire night. People at our wedding could not WAIT to dance... in fact many of them got up and danced during dinner! We just couldn't keep from dancing. Several people commented to me how great the music was during the reception. We ended the night arm in arm in a giant circle around the dance floor, singing our hearts out. We could not have had a more incredible day/night, and Soundinmind was a huge part of that.

From the moment that we sat down with Dustin from Soundinmind we knew our wedding reception was going to be incredible. Dustin worked with a long list of requests from our guests as well as making great decisions on his own about the music that set the scene for a fantastic evening. From dinner to the end of the night our dance floor was never empty. We had so many compliments about the reception being the best party that many have attended in a long time! Dustin was simply amazing. The first time we met, he treated us like old friends. He's energetic and always willing to get out on the dance floor to keep the party going. He even danced with my niece, who loves to dance and didn't have a partner! I gave him a few song suggestions but let him make the rest of the decisions, and we couldn't have been happier.

Prior to engaging Soundinmind to DJ our wedding and reception, we have been to multiple other weddings (4 before and 1 after) that Soundinmind worked.
After an initial discussion letting them know that we wanted them to DJ at our reception, Soundinmind set up a Skype video conference several months before our wedding in which we talked about the vision for our reception. This was a preliminary conversation but we talked about on a scale of 1-10 (low-key, to bouncing off the walls) how energetic we wanted our reception to be, and some basic details about what kinds of events (bouquet toss etc) we might be interested in having. We also discussed the payment plan at this time.
They sent over a form which we could fill out with the general reception itinerary, must-play songs, do not play songs, entrance songs etc. This form was to be sent much closer to our wedding date but it was good to have early on so we could clearly think about all of the options.
Close to our wedding date we discovered that our church pianist wouldn't be able to accommodate all of our song choices as we had initially planned. With late notice, Soundinmind was able to add our wedding ceremony to our day so we could have the songs we wanted played over the sound system at the church.
The wedding went great with Dustin playing the requested songs without any kind of rehearsal needed.
The reception was amazing. Soundinmind played music we requested during cocktail hour, did a brilliant job of managing the bridal party entrances, and toasts. He then started the Level 10 dance party off right away after food was served. Everyone at the reception had a great time, with people of a tremendous variety of ages dancing from start to finish. Of course, Dustin and his wife did the "Wobble" dance at our request (some weddings nowadays do the "no organized dance" request and Soundinmind will accomodate either one!) which is the groom's favorite.
We would highly recommend Soundinmind to anyone!

Dustin and his wife were awesome at our wedding. They were very flexible to work with, they kept the crowd pumped up the whole night, and just made our special night even that much more amazing. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone!

From the moment my now husband and I met with Dustin we were sold.
We could tell he would be extremely fun and easy to work with. We were really seeking a DJ who would be able to read the crowd, be engaging but not intrusive, and who most of all would keep us feeling comfortable throughout the planning process and on the big day. Dustin did just that and more - we couldn't be happier with how the day turned out and with how he ran the show. We have received many compliments from our guests regarding what a great job he did and I completely, 110% agree! The music flowed super smoothly all night, with no awkward transition, pauses, or unwelcome song choices (and Dustin could tell you I was extremely picky :). He created a perfect ambiance during the cocktail and dinner hours and put on a super fun party afterwards. And most importantly, he was extremely professional (but still so fun and sweet!), approachable, and attentive to us throughout the night, making us feel very at ease about the whole process. We are so SO glad we chose to work with Dustin - it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Dustin and his wife were wonderful! We met Dustin at a bridal expo about 5 months before our wedding. We had already booked a band but were contemplating adding a DJ. When we met Dustin we knew he was our guy! My mother liked that he ran a family owned business and I liked his personality and thought he would know exactly what to play to get my guests out on that dance floor and we were right! The music he played got everyone moving! Additionally, Dustin's wife took pictures of us and the room! They were stunning! Its so nice to get a glimpse of what your wedding looked like before your actual pictures come in! She could be a wedding photographer! They were a great team, extremely professional and the music was perfect!
