I’ve written this review in my mind a dozen times and am finally putting online the blessing of working with Tina Wuthnow, owner of Something Borrowed Event Planning, Design & Rentals. She blessed us way more than we could have asked or imagined and that’s why her nickname was “Fairy Godmother” during the planning & celebration of my daughter’s dream wedding.

My daughter Alex & her fiancé (now husband) are Wichita elementary school teachers who invited their students to be in the wedding party. Alex simply wanted to bless her students and chose to post her “will you be in my wedding” moment on their favorite social media platform (Tik Tok). God took that seed of kindness and multiplied it a hundred times, it seems. Incredibly loving & generous people like Tina showered these kids & the couple with jaw-dropping abundance.

So many kindnesses were lavished on us during this process and now that we reflect on our favorite planning moments Tina is part of most of them. I’ll only name a few of the dozens of special touches she provided: (1) She hand-made the bridesmaid bouquets and added the special memento of a framed pic of the couple to the little girls’ bouquets (so clever & sweet!); (2) She designed the centerpieces to include quotes from the students about love; (3) she coordinated at least 6 other vendors for the wedding & everyone she asked said YES because they love working with her; (4) when we had a family crisis, she called us with encouragement, prayer & smart solutions; (5) on WEDDING DAY I did not have one responsibility except to be the mother-of-the-bride and by that time I trusted Tina so completely that I did not have a care in the world.

Aside from being a brilliant planner, her inventory is excellent, her support network is reliable, her experience is vast, she is humble and an incredibly hard worker. In addition to my daughter’s Black Tie wedding ceremony & reception, we also utilized Something Borrowed for my daughter’s wedding shower. Everything was PERFECT.

If I could give her 10 stars I would.

The wedding guests - and ultimately all who watch the national story on NBC Nightly News & CBS Inside Edition - experienced a fairytale event in large part because of Tina Wuthnow.

She is a true professionals at her craft. Sometimes you don’t need 1000 words to say what you can say with one, she’s a true professional

My wedding was on July 30 and I had the privilege to have Ms. Chandra as my wedding planner. From the beginning, when I originally "Googled" her I was impressed. (Yes, I googled wedding planners in Montgomery and she came up.) I prayed and asked God to lead me to a planner that would be able to plan and bring the wedding of my dreams to fruition WITHIN a reasonable price. That's exactly what God did.

We started planning my wedding in late January. (Side note: I was not living in Alabama at the time.) Originally, the wedding was planned to be held in Selma, AL, my hometown. Six weeks before the wedding I had a change of heart and decided to change the location of the wedding to Montgomery instead. (Oh no! Now, the stress is on! And I'm freaking out!) With time winding down, Ms. Tarver ensured me that she would handle it. She immediately contacted vendors, venues, caterers, DJs, etc. And within a weeks time EVERYTHING was locked in for the wedding. No lie!!! Only the Lord knows how grateful I am for Ms. Tarver, especially since I was not local in the area. Even when unexpected mishaps came up, she still made everything happened.

Now, fast forward to the wedding! Ms. Chandra Tarver SHUT IT DOWN! She made my vision come to life. Everything was beyond beautiful! And she went over and beyond to ensure that everything was just the way I would like it! She understood the concept my husband and I were looking for and surpassed ALL of our expectations, and she did all of this within reasonable price. She ensured us that she could make it work within our budget, and she did just that! From her, to her colleagues; Fred "Fredtography" Powell (Photographer), Walter (Videographer), Mr. Kim (Evening Out Formal Wear), and Mrs. Sandra (Cake Designs), they ALL worked together and made my dreams come true.

I would do my whole wedding planning process over a million times with Ms. Tarver. She LOVES what she do and she is GREAT at her craft.

About a week ago, I had the wedding of my dreams! Ms. Tarver and her staff did an outstanding job putting together EVERYTHING for my day! Originally, I hired Something Borrowed Weddings & Events only to decorate for my event! However, at the end of the day Ms. Tarver became my coordinator...consoler...confidant...2nd mother and a dear friend! This day would not have been what it was without her help! If you are looking for a company that will make sure your day is top-notch...Elegant...Beautiful...Please make sure that you reach out to Ms. Tarver for her services! I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!

My daughter always dreamed of a fairytale wedding and of course with the assistance of Something Borrowed Weddings & Events for making that day a reality. I want to personally thank Chandra Tarver for being our planner. On my daughter's wedding day I was stress-free. I could sit back and really enjoy the beauty of the wedding day. Our planner was the contact person. She handled all the details and negotiations. This was well worth the investment. I strongly suggest don't plan your own wedding, sit back relax and enjoy the moment leave it to the professionals. You will definitely appreciate it later.
