Loved the food as did everyone else. Celeste was great to work with and made the entire process painless.

The Chicken Angelo is to die for!

I was required to use this caterer due to their exclusive contract with the reception venue. After the tasting, I had some concerns about the quality of the food and made that plainly clear to Maureen. She assured me that on the day of the reception everything would be fine and that she has "never had a bride complain". She said that the tasting was merely to sample food items and would not represent how things would be on the big day.

I paid for and ordered extra appetizers in order to have a cocktail hour with passed hordeuvres. I specifically asked for a plate of each appetizer to be saved for us since we would most likely be taking photos during that time. They forgot to do this, and when asked where our plate was, they could only find enough of one type of appetizer to give us. Very insulting since we paid for these items and did not even have a chance to taste them for ourselves. After the reception, several of my guests honestly and begrudgingly told me that they were served burnt items and appetizers that were still frozen in the center. How embarassed was I to find this out!

The two main entrees were chicken and prime rib. The prime rib was overcooked and DRY as a bone. The sauce on the chicken dish looked so unappetizing that I didn't even want to try it. It had an orange glop for a sauce. The asparagus side dish was also overcooked. I think the only item they made properly was the mashed potatoes. I expected much more quality, especially since I had already made my intentions very clear.

The reception was running a little behind the original timeline. Another thing that Maureen had promised me was that she would work with the DJ to coordinate a well-timed reception. I don't know what she was doing at this time. Consequently, when our cake was cut and served, the guests were in the middle of enjoying the dance festivities. Several people including us (bride and groom), put our cake plates on the table with the intent to eat it later. The servers cleared all the plates before most people got any chance to eat it. I never got to eat my wedding cake, other than the one bite my husband fed to me. I enjoyed my reception, but did not feel this caterer held to any of the things she was paid to do in terms of the quality of the food.

Even when I called afterwards to express my problems with how things turned out, she continued to argue with me. I asked for a detailed itemization of the per person cost. It seems she feels their job as a caterer focuses more on linen services and such. I was surprised to find out that she doesn't think her main job as the caterer is to make sure the food turns out right. Go figure!
