Simplicity Sounds

The team was easy to work with and so much fun. We were impressed with the planning system and the way they made everything we dreamed of come to life. The dance floor was packed all night and we couldn’t have imagined it any other way. Thank you for everything!

I loved working with Simplicity Sounds. Aby does great work and kept us dancing all night long (literally)! We were able to play the songs we wanted and also asked for her advice on what songs to and not play. I would use her services again if I had a big enough event!

The consultant with Abigail, the owner, was very professional and made us feel like everything was going to be organized and exactly as we wish. That was not the case. I dreamt of walking down the aisle with my son, at my daughters wedding for over a year. I had the song picked out since the very first time that I heard it. That song was not played as promised when we walked down the aisle. She played a very wrong, inappropriate song for the occasion, with a similar name, but the wrong artist. When told it was wrong, she chuckled and said “oh yeah, I guess there is another version of that song,” Then selected another incorrect song that we were forced to walk down the aisle to. She started the wedding music and told us to start walking long before the bride had made it to the wedding site and without the last bridesmaid and groom’s men there, so she played the song 3 times, then we sat in silence waiting for the bride to get to the isle entryway. There was a very organized, detailed app sent by the DJ, that my daughter spent months loading her song requests into, with the artist’s names and song titles. Several of the songs that were to be played were not played and some special dances that were scheduled, never happened. During the reception there were a few minor mishaps. One was definitely Abigail’s fault and I kindly told her about it (tables not yet sent to the buffet line after everyone else had been eating for a while) and she dismissed me in a very condescending manner, and basically said that I was incorrect, leaving me to invite those tables to get in line for dinner myself. We managed to have a great time in spite of those things, and a few other disappointing moments , but I still feel as though we were not given the level of service and professionalism that was sold to us during our interactions prior to the wedding. This DJ wasn’t cheap either… My daughter reached out to Abigail, via email, giving her an opportunity to address some of the the things that went wrong, rather than just jumping to writing a bad review, but, after a month, she hasn’t responded at all. That is also not very professional. I wouldn’t ever recommend this company to anyone because I felt everything was a sale’s pitch and lacked a general concern in giving her what she requested and envisioned, even though it was guaranteed to be exactly as she wished. You can definitely find someone that gives more attention to detail, and has a more caring, kind, non-condescending demeanor, to host your event.
