Shiny Penny Studios is a team of skilled event photographers brought together by the magic of theatre and community. We met working on various Cleveland stages and Keli quickly realized that the theatre kids with a love of photography had a backstage silent language from years of stage experience that could not be replicated. The show must go on mantra applies to all events. We happily do what needs to be done to get the job done. Sometimes that means ironing a pair of pants, supplying a safety-pin, or simply knowing when the leading players need to take a break. We join forces on bigger events while each keeping our specialty focus areas.
We are a female, minority, and LGBTQ+ owned company that honors diversity. Our business management style is rooted in being environmentally sustainable and we practice leave no trace principles.

No Words for How Wonderful + Talented Shiny Penny Studios Is
More than a photographer, Keli from Shiny Penny Studios is a professional advisor the day-of, truly comedic relief, and a deeply socially adept organizer who somehow made a rather incoherent-feeling weekend become and appear (magically?) cohesive once the day was done. As a client, you end up owning your own files (an offering not all photographers even allow without charge!). And of course – the thing most people care about – the photos of course are truly gorgeous. The end results is not highly treated or filtered, but rather true-to-life photos that still impressively maximize the light, beauty, life in each and every shot. KELI WE LOVE YOU. Thank you, again.

Gorgeous Photos!
We worked with Keli for our reception and could not have been happier. She highlighted us as a couple, got all of guests in photos, and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted. Her work is real and so beautiful. We feel so lucky to have Keli capture our day!

Keli and her team were incredible in making our wedding day special. Both our original wedding day and our post-covid reception a year later. She responds quickly, has reasonable pricing, and takes the perfect shots. 10/10 I would highly recomend!

Wonderful Photographer
Keli took our engagement pictures and our wedding/reception pictures, and we are so incredibly happy that we worked with her! We can't say enough good things about her and her photography. Keli is so friendly but still professional. She really made us feel at ease and kept us laughing. Her photos are absolutely gorgeous. We LOVE our engagement and wedding pictures and have gotten so many compliments from other people as well. She captured great candid moments throughout our day in addition to the posed photos with our wedding party and family that we wanted. We highly recommend Keli - we would love to work with her again in the future!

Fabulous Day and Fabulous Pics!
Keli is fantastic! She was great at putting us at ease, and making us laugh. Her photos came out amazingly. She was super stealthy while taking pics during our mini-reception. We didn't even notice! 10 out of 10, would recommend. ❤

Reliable, Creative, and Caring
My fiance and I have used Keli for many different occasions and our engagement shoot was no exception to her brilliant level of creativity and service. Keli's vibe is laid back yet professional. She is fun to be around and really makes you feel like you've known her for a long time, which is good for a photographer. Even for people who are a little uncomfortable posing in front of a camera, you can be sure that each of Keli's photos is incredible and well planned out. I cannot recommend her highly enough for her quality of work. Not only is the product amazing, but the experience is worth every Shiny Penny.

The Perfect Photographer with the best attitude
Keli not only made me and my fiancé feel comfortable as gay men, but celebrated with us. Trying to find a photographer that is accepting is one thing, but finding one who loves her job is another, and she does both. Not only were the pictures phenomenal, she got us a sneak peek in a couple of hours after the proposal. Keli is by far the best photographer I have encountered. We will be using her for our wedding. She made our experience magical.

Perfect photographer for you
Keli is my go to for all photos. She is perfect. She and my fiancé planned out how to photograph him proposing to me and her capturing it all without me having any idea. It was simply perfect.
