10/10 experience!!! David was our main point of contact during planning and was super communicative and easy to work with. When plans changed and we ended up with Douglas for our wedding, it honestly turned out better than we could’ve imagined. Everything ran smoothly, the vibes were perfect, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Communication was on point, the party energy was unreal, and we had SO many guests tell us how much fun they had. If you want a DJ company that truly knows how to throw a party, Shindig DJs is it. Could not recommend more!!!

David is very professional and very easy to work with, he brings charm to his work while making it very easy to get things set up for the event. I have worked with David on many different projects and have never been disappointed.

David from Shindig DJs was amazing and exactly what we were looking for in a DJ! He was super responsive and easy to work with! I had a last-minute change to the length of our first dance and he was accommodated that no problem. He was also super organized: his website was so helpful in establishing the flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, which was so nice since I was planning everything myself and didn’t know what I was doing. When we met to discuss our final playlist, he had everything printed out, answered my many questions, and offered suggestions for how we could make everything seamless but also end the party with a hype song. David was super prepared and obviously knew what he was doing, so I felt so comfortable and knew we were in good hands! He also was fun! He was professional but also you can tell he loves what he does, and it translated onto our dance floor, which was super important to me (dancing is my favorite part of wedding receptions). He played all of our “love/must play” songs and incorporated music that went along with the vibe of our music selection. If you are considering Shindig DJs, specifically David, I would highly encourage you to do so! I had multiple friends say how much fun they had (and how they had never seen their husbands dance so much) and how much they loved the music. I had an absolute blast at my wedding, and I would highly recommend working with David and Shindig DJs!

David and Shindig DJs absolutely crushed it at our wedding! My wife and I actually chose to use Shindig DJs after seeing how well the performed at our friend's wedding, and we were not disappointed. David even met with us twice virtually to walk through the entire day, and we could tell that he took his job seriously and was genuinely focused his customer service. I used David Smith from Shindig DJs as my wedding DJ and do not have enough good things to say about him! When choosing a DJ for my wedding I was looking for someone who is fun, outgoing, organized, and knows how to keep the party going. David is all of these things and more! He made sure to listen to my every need and went above and beyond in helping create incredible custom remixes so that the special dreams I had about doing a mother-daughter dance and unique wedding party walkout came true! He's a wonderful collaborator and coordinated with my saxophone player so that the music and timing of my ceremony songs and walk down the aisle came out exactly as I envisioned. He has beautiful uplighting and an amazing sound system, which we couldn't stop getting enough compliments about from our guests. He was always punctual and made sure to arrive early to make sure he had plenty of time to set up. (This really came in handy when he helped us calm our nerves by letting us practice our first dance in my dress while the vendors were still setting up!) He was always quick to respond and available to chat when I had questions. His extensive background in this industry was greatly appreciated and apparent as he had many insightful suggestions on how to create a smoothly flowing reception timeline while keeping the dance floor going. He knows when to play the right songs at the right time and most importantly advocates for what you want on your special day. And may I mention--he has a spectacular deep voice that stands out in a room packed full of guests! DJ Shindij (David) DJ'ed our wedding in June and surpassed our expectations by going above and beyond for our day.

We'll start off with saying that guests obviously pay attention to the dancefloor more than any other responsibility a DJ might have. We have had MANY conversations with our wedding guests where they bring up the DJ saying things like "oh yeah and the DJ was amazing!" or "How did he just keep playing great song after great song!?" so that is OBVIOUSLY what you want to hear about from your guests afterwards as one of their favorite things because the dance floor is a big part of the fun!

All that being said, we knew we made the right decision when we were able to have multiple meetings with him leading up to our wedding. He did a great job in those meetings leading us in a way we were comfortable when we did not have all the answers for how we wanted our wedding day to go. It was clear he's done this hundreds of times, so he guided us through our decisions where we needed them on things we didn't even think about like what music to play during reception and dinner.

On the day of the wedding, we were blown away. My wife and I just didn't realize leading up how big of a role the DJ may play in our wedding (outside of the dancefoor). David did a great job with all of his announcements for dances and speeches and of course for all the ceremony music as well.

As for when it came to dancing from the bride and groom point of view: it was expected that he would get to all of the songs we listed as "must plays" but we obviously were not sure how he would mix around those. He absolutely killed it! He did an amazing job keeping people on the dance floor and playing other songs that people loved to hear that fit in with our provided set list!

He was incredibly professional, while at the same time he clearly was enjoying himself and took pride in making our experience the best it could be. And we had an amazing wedding day that David was a huge part in not only making it run smoothly, but really a fantastically fun event!

We recently had our wedding on April 20th 2024. We used Shindig Djs and had the opportunity to have David himself as our DJ. Let me tell you David did not disappoint. The dance floor was electric the entire evening that we had him up until the very end!

Our venue was in the mountains just outside of Idaho springs. The drive to get to the is quite the trek and of course it was snowing. We never heard any issues from David on making it to the venue. When we arrived David was already set up and the venue was completely decked out in lighting and to make the atmosphere even more immersive.

During the ceremony there were absolutely no issues with sound or connection issues. The toasts went off without a hitch. For the dances I made it complicated and had David switch between multiple songs for my mom and I and he did it perfectly.

The dancing is where the magic happened. David did an incredible job with the song set and would read the room very quickly if there wasn't a good vibe with a song and would perfectly transition to the next song. This barely happened as he knew exactly what he was doing.

I highly recommend David and Shindig Djs to anyone who is having a wedding or really any event! I can see why they are so highly recommended and reviewed!
