Shaylyn and her assistants did a fantastic job with the makeup and hair dos for myself, our moms and my bridesmaids. She came to us and brought two assistants at no additional charge. Things ran smoothly and the hair and makeup looked gorgeous and lasted all night long. Her prices are extremely affordable (and I did a LOT of research beforehand) and she even throws in a trial for the bride for free! Thank you again, Shaylyn!

I reached out to Shaylyn to do my makeup for my wedding with recommendation from a girlfriend who she recently did makeup for her wedding and she COMPLETELY ghosted me. I confirmed an appointment and when it came down to send the contract and payment I never received one from her, had to reach out countless times and saw my messages were left on read with zero response. Left me totally high and dry for my wedding day which was a completely awful feeling. The complete lack of response and unprofessionalism is not acceptable.

Shaylyn is a perfectly nice and lovely person, but completely unreliable. Simply put, she didn't show up to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I called her 5 times before the calls started going straight to voicemail. She ignored voicemails and text messages as well. It got to the point where my mother had to drive to her house to remind her that she was booked for my wedding. She claimed she had me down for the next day. I'm sorry, but if you are professional and have your crap together you don't book a wedding for THE WRONG DAY. And at least own up to it instead of ignoring the calls and text messages. Thank god for the venue leaping into action to find someone else to come and help get my bridal party ready. Never ever should a bride feel the way I did that day when I was crying on the floor because the person that promised to be there and make me feel beautiful, didn't show. So incredibly disappointing, and if I hadn't already paid her for her services at my trial, I wouldn't have given her a dime that day when she finally did show up.

My daughter booked Shaylyn for her wedding 6 months out. She had a trial run (for a fee) and was pleased. One month before the wedding my daughter tried to contact Shaylyn. It took over a week for her to finally touch base. This should have been our HUGE RED FLAG. My daughter's wedding day arrived and she tried to touch base with Shaylyn. Shaylyn did not respond to any calls or text messages. We hung onto hope that she would arrive at the scheduled appointment time of 1:30 for a 3:30 wedding to do hair and makeup for the bride and hair for the Matron of Honor and one bridesmaid. SHAYLYN DID NOT SHOW UP.
Adding insult to injury Shaylyn had the nerve to text the bride's phone 1 hour after the ceremony start time with an excuse of how she had a schedule mix up. Beyond unprofessional.
If you want a vendor that you can trust to show up.............stay away from Shaylyn Ford!
