What a pleasure it was getting both hair and makeup done at Shamas. Despite dicey winter conditions, they were able to transform me into a beautiful, winter bride. Thank you, Shamas and your staff, for all of your help and patience!!

I had never been to Shamas Salon and Spa before, but I decided to go there 2 days before my wedding for a back massage and pedicure. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this salon and spa to any stressed out bride-to-be!

WE LOVED this vendor!! We would recommend to anyone! Amy, my stylist, catered to my every need. She also helped make me feel relaxed, hours from walking down the aisle. She did a wonderful job on not only my hair, but the bridesmaids and mothers as well! I looked and felt beautiful on my big day!

Me, the bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother of the birde and groom all got our hair done here and everyone looked fabulous.
The stylist really worked with you and listened to get just the look you wanted.
It is kinda of pricey but totally worth it (actually my mother in-law paid for mine as a gift so I'm not sure on the exact price)

But I would highly recommend Shama's if your looking for a place to feel pampered and relzed on your special day!

Although Shamas is sort of pricey, they have fabulous service and I really recommend them. You get treated like royalty when you are there! It's fun to be pampered!

I worked with both Jen (makeup) and Julie (hair). I really enjoy both of these ladies. They were very calm and cool under the pressure of our constant photography during the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I decided to alter my hair style from what we had talked about during the trial and Julie was fine with that. She pulled off the look I was going for perfectly. Jenn kept me calm, made me laugh, and really seemed easy going when it came to the numerous interruptions that took place on the big day. She is also incredibly talented. Between the two of them, I felt and looked like a princess. :-)

A week before my wedding I was surprised with a present for my mom, sister and I to get our hair and makeup done professionally. I called around to virtually every salon and with a mid-September wedding, it was incredibly difficult to get 3 appropriately timed appointments. Shamas however squeezed us in and made us feel welcome. My mom and I are wear very naturally looking make up and they did a wonderful job making us look like us but with a glamorous kick. Our hair came out beautiful and everyone was very polite and professional. It was a great experience that really made us relax and enjoy the day.

Shamas was the salon for all of my bridal needs. I had a trial done the month before the wedding for my hair and makeup. They did a great job taking pictures and notes to know what I liked and what needed tweaked for the big deal. The day before the wedding, my mom, maid of honor, and I got manicures and pedicures. The day of the wedding I had my hair and makeup done. My seven bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law also got their hair done. Almost everyone could go at the same time. They did not quite stick to the original schedule, but we still made it out in a reasonable amount of time. I loved the way that my hair and makeup looked, and it held up all day. They even have a spot for you to bring food in for your bridal party to make the morning enjoyable. It might have been a little pricy, but I am extremely happy with everything that Shamas did to complete my wedding day look.

Everything was great! There's no question why its one of the most popular salons in the Toledo area (two locations - Sylvania and Perrysburg). They did my pre-bridal hair & makeup, obviously hair and makeup the day of the wedding, and I had a cut and dye before my pre-trial (since I'd never been there and wanted to test them out). Everything was great - very cool ladies over there, and very talented. At least at Perrysburg, the view of the cute buildings across the street is nice. Its not a huge place that you feel you can get lost in, which is also nice.
Julie did my hair (as well as a friend for her wedding last summer) and she does an amazing job. Totally cool person, too. And I sprung on her (rather last-minute) that I wanted clip-on extensions that I had bought, and though she didn't have any training with them, she was totally great with it. I might have found my new stylist :)
Makeup by Jenni- she was great, as well, and totally worked with me to get what I wanted. Laid-back, so sweet, very talented.
All that, plus a goody bag on my wedding day of great sample products. Sure, its kind of expensive, but its highly recommended for your big day.
