Perfect experience from start to end.

Perfect experience from start to end. They spent plenty of time discussing with us the right music for the ceremony and cocktails, and sounded amazing! They ask for 50% deposit up front and the balance before the event, which makes sense as the last thing we wanted was to be distracted on the day. The one negative review was someone who had not read the contract.

Serenade ensemble did a wonderful job in their performance on my wedding day. They were very flexible in the music that I wanted to be played and they worked with me every step of the way.

Serenade Ensemble was great! I used their String Quartet for my ceremony music @ Church of Little Flower and for the cocktail hour @ The Biltmore Hotel's Country Club Ballroom Courtyard. Everyone complimented me on such a beautiful ceremony and especially the ceremony music! They work well with the Church of Little Flower & their choir/soloists and are very familiar playing @ The Biltmore Hotel. I highly recommend them. :)

I selected them bc they played @ my church's music meetings and were already familiar with my reception venue. I didn't really shop around, but quite frankly, I probably would have still gone with them. They were very nice to work with.

Only constructive criticism - being the control freak that i am, i would have loved if they could written out a detailed suggested playlist of songs that they were going to play for the cocktail hour. I ended up trusting them and not having one. I'm not sure what it sounded like bc my husband and I were off taking wedding pictures at that time, although, people only had great things to say about the wedding :)

What an unprofessional group these people are. I got married at LIttle Flower last year and all I have to say it....wow...and not in a good way. \r\n\r\nI paid my half deposit no problem, everything was fine. Then about 2 weeks before the wedding (we had a REALLY small one), they asked for the remainder of the deposit. I sent them a check in the mail THAT DAY, because the wedding was coming up and I wanted to pay the rest of my deposits so I didn\'t have to worry about them. Boy was I wrong!!\r\n\r\nFinally the day of the wedding had come and gone, and everything went lovely, or so I had THOUGHT. I come to find out the following week that they pulled my father aside right before the wedding procession (really?? bad timing much??) to demand the remainder of the deposit!! My father told me that he didn\'t want to bother me as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, so he just paid it so as to not cause any confusion. I had JUST spoken to these people 2 days before and they said everything was fine. Then, a few days later I was talking to one of my friends and they said that several people during the reception were going on and on and on about how rude the muscicans were and that they were talking so loudly during the wedding procession that they were tempted to knock them out! They said it ruined the bridal entrance because they could barely hear over the violinst running her mouth the whole time. \r\n\r\nBottom line--don\'t use these people. Keep looking!!!

Event Planner's Nightmare

I booked a Spanish guitarist and harpist for the cocktail hour of a bat mitzvah through Serenade Events via GigSalad on November 11, 2024. The event was scheduled for December 14, and this was a last-minute request from my client—so it was my responsibility as the planner to secure the entertainment quickly and reliably.
Jeff and Jessica sent me an invoice, which I paid in full on November 21. I received confirmation of payment from them at that time. My last communication with either Jeff or Jessica was on December 9, just a few days before the event.
When I attempted to reach Jeff using the contact number provided, I discovered the number was not in service. I left multiple voicemails on the main line and sent several emails to both Jeff and Jessica trying to confirm the performance details.
Then, just two hours before the agreed and contracted event time—at 3:00 PM on December 14—Jeff informed me that the services were canceled. The email from Jeff read "I'm sorry to say we are having several issues with illnesses with our musicians, because of that we unfortunately have to cancel. We are refunding the full amount, our apologies again."
I did not receive a refund, nor did I receive any apology or explanation. This was an extremely stressful and unacceptable situation, especially given my role as an event planner responsible for delivering a seamless experience to my client.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my career.
