Hire this guy! It's always a risk booking a wedding vendor for your big day. A photographer, in our opinion, is one of the most important and risky decisions to make when investing your money. The product they produce will be with you for a lifetime, unlike an underwhelming meal from a caterer or a dry piece of wedding cake. You can eliminate the "risk factor" if Scott is your photographer. Trust us, this guy knows what he's doing. Working with Scott was a treat, and this is coming from two people who don't particularly enjoy being photographed. We always felt comfortable and laid back with him, and the photos that came out the other end were phenomenal! Even his "worst" photos are still frame-able and something an amateur would be thrilled with. He was very easy to communicate with during the planning process, and was the perfect blend of assertive and fly-on-the-wall during the wedding day. We had many guests after the wedding tell us "You had a great photographer!" even before they saw the photos. You could just tell he was tirelessly working his magic the whole day -- capturing the little shots and artsy angles that we wouldn't think to photograph. We are so thankful to have a wonderful collection of images to look back on to remember our wedding for years and years to come. Like we said -- hire this guy!

My husband and I found Scott by chance. We Google searched Trash The Dress Portland Oregon and he was the first to pull up. We had been looking for a wedding photographer for quite some time and knew it was what we wanted to lay the money down for. Pictures last forever so it was important to us that this be a photographer who would capture us as a couple in our true form not staged or posed like every other wedding photo. After meeting with Scott we knew he was the one the second he told us he used to be a wildlife photographer and had never shot an indoor wedding. It was a perfect match to our laid back life-style and our camp wedding. Not to mention the first photographer we could agree on, after looking at his pictures hands down he took the cake. My husband is in the creative biz as well and is VERY picky. VERY!
Scott was wonderful to work with, easy to get along with and quickly made himself a friend. He's very passionate about what he does and easily makes you feel comfortable with him. He captured our wedding perfectly and caught priceless moments that shouldn't be forgotten. When he showed us our wedding video there was a clip of me on the phone with my grandmother who passed away the day after our wedding. In all the hustle and bustle I thought I had forgotten to call her. It brought me to my knees to see me tell her one last time that I loved her and I'll have that forever.
Scott captured our engagement photos, wedding photos, and trash the dress. All of them turned out AWESOME! We were very happy with his work and with the awesome table topper book he provides that is specially made in Italy for you.

Scott is Incredible! He is friendly, considerate, profession - and his work is unlike anything else I've seen. It is artistic and so beautiful. His passion for photography is clearly visible in every photo he takes. He used the scenery to set the stage and really captured the essence of us in the images and told the story of our day through them.

The day after the wedding, we set out with Scott on a “Trash the Dress” photo shoot. I cannot recommend this enough – we road tripped all the way down the Florida Keys and back – stopping along the way to take some shots. We took photos everywhere from an abandoned construction project covered in graffiti to a lone mangrove tree on the edge of the ocean. The backdrops were outstanding and we look so amazing set in them.

We began the weekend as clients/vendor, but we absolutely parted ways as friends. Hire Scott McNamara for your wedding – you will not be disappointed. He is so talented and such a great guy. He really is the best you can find!

I can not say enough good things about working with Scott. We knew that we wanted a less traditional and more "editorial" approach to our wedding photos and Scott fit the bill perfectly. You'll still get the shots you want, he'll just add a creative twist or a subtle detail or a bit of a modern edge that will surprise and amaze. Looking at our wedding photos I find it hard to believe that's US in the pictures. They look straight out of a magazine.

Scott is also incredibly professional and doesn't make you or your guests feel awkward or like he's imposing himself on every big moment. In fact, I was surprised to see some of the shots because I had no idea he was even there! He also shoots video along with photos so you'll get a really cool added bonus. The video is currently circulating around to family and friends and making people cry coast to coast!

I love our wedding photos. I can't imagine not looking back on them a decade from now and still loving them as much as I day I first saw them. Everyone who has seen them comments on the beauty and uniqueness of every, single photo. We got shots at Pike Place Market in Seattle, against a wall of graffiti in Capitol Hill, even doing shots with some locals at a really cool diver bar across the street from our venue. (The shot of our guests looking at us through the window of the venue is priceless.)

Scott is a true talent. You'll feel incredibly special to be his "subjects" for the day. I feel truly lucky to have had him be part of our day.

Being a photographer myself, I get picky about many things. We knew Scott was the perfect fit, he was very helpful throughout our out of the country wedding. He is professional, creative, considerate, helpful and extremely friendly, all in one package. What more can you ask for from a great guy?

We couldn't have been happier with Scott as our wedding photographer! I wondered how it would feel to have a relative stranger with us during many of the more private moments on our wedding day, but Scott was so charming and easy to be with, that he made everyone feel instantly at ease. He was friendly, unobtrusive, and of course he passed the acid test - the photographs are fantastic! Scott took our honeymoon pictures. I wanted to have a day with a photographer on our honeymoon because I couldn't stand the thought of being in paradise and having underwhelming pictures to show of one of the most special trips we would take in our life.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time working with him. I know typically husbands don't enjoy taking pictures much less taking time away from our honeymoon while in paradise {Kauai, HI} but my husband actually had lots of fun that day and the end pictures were worth every second we spent with Scott!

I recommend him to EVERYONE! He has a special eye for unique, out of this world photos. I have friends that referred him to us and people that we know that are now using him after seeing our pictures. Such an amazing photographer and overall awesome person!

Scott was an excellent Photographer. He was very prompt with his responses, either returning my emails or my phone calls within 24 hours. He was very professional the entire time both in demeanor and attire. Scott did my engagement shoot, wedding, and an alternative shoot the day after the wedding, so we spent a lot of time together. He is very intuitive and creative; he has great ideas for shots that the common eye cannot see. He was very accomidating and easy to work with; my husband and I felt very comfortable around him. Several guests at the wedding commented that he blended in well and hardly knew he was there snapping photos, but that he was definitely capturing every moment. Scott is also very prompt in developing/publishing the shots that were taken. We were able to preview a sample within a matter of days and recieved all our shots in a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend Scott McNamara Photography to any bride, or couple, looking for a Photographer. He is much more than just a photographer : )

Scott did more than what we would dream of from a photographer. He showed up at 7am on the wedding day with a rake to help clean up the ceremony venue to ensure that it was 'picture perfect'.
