Based in Savannah, Georgia, couples can use Savannah Riverboat Cruises for a unique, waterfront wedding venue. For over 25 years this company has been allowing ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, and bridal shows to be hosted on their gorgeous vessels. Designed as traditional red, white, and blue paddlewheel riverboats, they allow couples and their guests to eat, drink, and dance the night away while enjoying scenic city views from the Savannah River.
Facilities and Capacity
Truly a one-of-a-kind experience, the spaces on the Savannah Riverboat Cruises vessels allow up to 75 guests on the top deck for a wedding, and up to 1,000 people in their grand ballrooms for a reception. The Georgia Queen, the first vessel acquired by this company, has three ballrooms, a 5,000-square-foot open-air top deck, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and full bars on each of its three floors. While the vessel can accommodate 1,000 guests, for those who would like to charter a smaller space, the ballroom on the second deck has an off-set private parlor. The Savannah River Queen is a 600-passenger vessel with glass-enclosed, climate-controlled dining on each of its three decks. The boats can be sectioned off to accommodate smaller wedding parties and receptions, and are also wheelchair accessible.
Services Offered
Savannah River Cruises allows couples to choose wedding packages that will fully complete their special day. In addition to offering an all-inclusive ceremony and reception, they can also supply in-house catering, in-house bar, DJ, and a dance floor. Couples are welcome to bring in their own decorations or centerpieces, in addition to ordering their own cake or cupcakes from an outside bakery. The vessel also has a bridal suite for the wedding party on the day of the wedding. In addition, they have Cruise and Event specialists on the boat during your wedding to ensure your event rentals, lighting, sound, custom menu, set up, and clean up are all handled correctly. Georgia Queen Amazing!!!
The staff at Savannah Riverboat Cruises were exceptional. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident at every stage of planning. They were accommodating, understanding, and went above and beyond to make our dream wedding a reality. Their expertise and guidance throughout the process were invaluable. A big shout out to Captain Mike who officiated the wedding and did a spectacular job. Rebekah did an amazing job answering all our questions and helping coordinate the wedding.
The facilities were top-notch. The venue offered a variety of spaces for different parts of our celebration, from a charming outdoor ceremony area to an elegant reception floor.
One standout was the culinary experience. The catering was exquisite, impressing our guests with a delightful array of dishes that catered to various dietary needs. The presentation was impeccable, and the quality of the food surpassed our expectations.

With Emails and text messages were promptly answered. I actually planned the whole wedding for my daughter over the phone or emails . This is the easiest wedding venue I have ever worked with and I have planned 3 of my daughter’s weddings one at an Atlanta hotel another in Athens Ga , The staff were very kind and organized. Everything fell into place It was a very enjoyable experience. The food was great. Many of our guests commented the fried chicken was the best they have had in a long time. Shrimp and grits and peach cobbler were also delicious! And I have to recommend Wendy’s Cakes. The best strawberry cake ever!
Thanks to all who made this event so enjoyable for our family .
Excellent!! We had an awesome time!! So much fun, the bus set was gorgeous, food was delicious, and they were very friendly as well as accommodating!!

Rebeka handled our specific needs very professionally, calmly and so very nice with us.
She was very open to any of our suggestions and was completely honest about what would be done and what could not be done.
All the staff on board from the chef who always spoke to us and his food was delicious! The waiters, waitresses that came around to our tables to check if we needed more drinks, water or sodas were very kind and thoughtful. Bartender was very attentive to what people wanted to drink.
It was just beautiful all the way around and everything came together so nice.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for all of your hard work and compassion and understanding our needs.
You made everything seem so magical! You’re the best!

I can't think of a more cool place to get married then on the Georgia Queen. This riverboat is so beautiful and you get to sail up and down the Savannah river! The food is delicious and the staff is great. There is nothing more 'Savannah' then a riverboat cruise!
